VWO, Unbounce, LeadPages etc. are good if you are very visually orientated and not so good with server setup and page design, and also can't be bothered (or can't afford) outsourcing these tasks.

However, they generally damage page load performance more than the typical affiliate marketer would like - in part because they may be hosted on some indeterminate servers, somewhere, that aren't bleeding edge. This isn't so bad with long pages of sales copy but will hurt small pages, and it is well known that long load times are detrimental to user conversion rate.

IMO, it is sensible to learn how to mockup landers in Muse and clean up the exported code > host on a CDN or your server > get familiar with a tracking system geared toward performance marketing (services like Unbounce and VWO allow split- and sometimes multivariate testing, but they are not really designed for tracking affiliate campaigns).

I would definitely not recommend these services for mobile offers - mobile internet speeds are still quite limiting and you really want very minimalistic and fast loading pages. If you do try such services... I would recommend split testing them against simple landers on a CDN.

TL;DR: It really depends on what you want/need. They have pros and cons, are used more/less often in certain verticals, but are not typically employed in the world of affiliate marketing with paid traffic.

Tks Zeno.. looking at CPVLab - is this software even being updated? I don't mind paid solution if it will allow me to learn it once

It was quite recently updated which fleshed out the feature set quite a bit, especially for mobile.

It is an excellent tracking system.

However, be aware the STM-modded p202 is a free solution that will also handle mobile traffic - and you don't learn a tracking system, you learn tracking. Once you learn how to ride a bike...

Another solution is Voluum, which is a SaaS so will let you avoid dealing with setting up your own server (for now!) if this is a difficulty.
