Server permissions problem

My file permissions keep reverting to like admin-only access everytime, causing a few scripts to not work properly.

Sometimes I'm uploading files using FTP and it's fine, the next moment it says the files can't be uploaded.

I have a WP blog on the server too, and everytime I'm reminded by the permissions issue when i upload a plugin. Because it asks for FTP details. I don't know how to fix it so I just end up uploading thru FTP.

http://voxel.sg/

Unmanaged. They want a steep $150/hr for support.

jeese...thats awful.....talk to tyler from beyondhosting......or storm on demand if you want cloud based stuff...

also some host run some funky scrips that block DDOS attcks and they don't work so well and can cause problems when FTP'ing.....

those prices seem not so good too......I get fully managed from storm like that vox cloud dual core for less...with full support 24hrs a day....

I need an Asian server for international traffic. Or else, I would have gone with Beyond Hosting.

There are really so many server configs that we would really need to know all the details before giving a good answer on what you should do. I do think you should get a new server with a better host. Liquidweb has always done me right. 80 percent of my traffic is international. I am not sure why you need an Asian host to get international traffic.

Do you really need offshore hosting? If not, go with BeyondHosting. Never heard a single complaint about this guy.

I personally use a non manager dedi from media temple, but I understand the ins and outs of a server and how to optimize, Beyond does it for you.

Even if you have international traffic, get a CDN located with servers in Asia.
