My 1st CPV Campaign - ZeroPark - Promoting My Own Product (12)

My 1st CPV Campaign - ZeroPark - Promoting My Own Product

I'm making this thread so I can keep myself accountable and to get some feedback from more seasoned marketers .

I've created my own product in the MMO niche.

I first made it around a 3rd world country (the biggest one in Africa), but I found out most of my target market did not have CC/Debit card to pay for the product - I did get 1 order through premium sms (which I think will be a big thing for those markets) - the only issue why I cut my loses with it is because the premium SMS or direct operator billing is still in it's infancy and you can only make $0.15 per sms. Now, if some smart person were to offer options for people to pay through sms and charge $5-50 per sms, then I think that market would become steaming hot. But I digress, back to this offer.

I made a new landing page, edited the copy to suite a more general / worldly population, set up tracking through Voluum (S.O to iamattila for his useful guide on his blog) and I started buying traffic from zeropark.

Here are my stats after 2.5 days.

Next step is to read the data and optimize the campaign. I'm not 100% on what to do there, but common sense I should stop all but the 2 campaigns that have 20% + CTR and focus on the target URLs are bringing in those high CTR.

I created 2 types of campaigns on zeropark.

1) RON

2) Keyword

the high CTR come from RON, I could not get any decent traffic from the keywords so I'll pause those too.

Here are a few useful links:

My budget is used up for today.....

Here are the stats....

Any tips on optimizing ? So far I've decided to pause all but the 2 campaigns that are sub 20%.

Should I filter down more - i.e desktop/OS/other ?

Thanks

Interesting and creative campaign!

Hmm - Zeropark is an interruption-based source. You may be pushing it to get them to go straight to an MMO offer.

Are you going straight to the landing page, or sending them to an email signup first?

Many thanks for your reply.

Yeah, I might just be pushing it. My offer is pay $0.99 and if you like the product then do nothing and you'll get charged $10 after 4 days.

I'm sending them to a "not so" long copy page. Then on the 2nd page is where my offer and order link/button is.

It seems like page 1 of the landing page is doing well with 20-40% CTR, but the offer is just not converting on the 2nd page.

Look forward to your suggestions.

With something like this, I'd generally recommend sending folks to an email list first. That way you can warm them up, then sell them on the product and potentially multiple products.

However, it is possible to do a cold sale off ad traffic. You might want to try a different traffic source, though, or at least focus heavily on the keywords you're getting traffic on from zeropark.

What's on your second page, and what's the first page link that they're clicking on? Are they clicking a "buy now" link, a "learn more" link, or something else?

I'm not really into building email lists and nurturing them - I'd rather do PPS or CPA. In which case I might have to put this offer to the side and focus on CPA offers from networks if I can't make it work with straight sale through FB (which is what I'm doing right now).

Page one's call to action is "Show me how to make money online"

Page two's call to action is "Download now" and it takes the person to PP.

Picture of how the 2nd page looks like.

edit:

Should I perhaps change my pricing? Current the offer is, pay $0.99 and after 2 days you get charged $4.99, then after 2 days again you get charged $4.99.

Maybe thats putting people off ?

Perhaps I should just sell it straight out for $4.99 ?

That sounds like something to split test if you can - pricing and pricing structuring is generally something one split tests.

Yup, did that today.

Still getting 27-49% CTR on the main landing page to the offer page, but still no sales.

What I changed on the offer page: Added 2 chapters from ebook (so people can see the type of content they will get - its pretty High Quality) and I changed pricing structure - now its just $4.99 (1 time payment).

Damn, I was hoping that would do the trick. Damnn.

Your LP CTRs look very solid for the top volume campaigns, so I suggest you focus on testing and improving your offer lander.

What exactly is the other offer page like? Long sales copy? Is the copywriting decent or done by someone experienced?

Based on the link you provided earlier, I would suggest getting some help from someone or trying something similar to what others have used. There are some very good sales landers out their for MMO products and they rarely look like yours.

There is no copy on the 2nd offer (not now anyways, just updated it for testing).

LOOL. Whats wrong with my lander?

I guess by the good MMO landers out there you are talking about those with a short form in the top right hand side with ferrari keys and desk or a island/beach back-drop.

I'll send you a PM to my lander and offer 1 sec.

Perhaps I should consider editing the main landing page a little bit and instead of linking to my offer I link to a CPA offer in the MMO niche. Hmmmz

How many split-tests have you done on your Page 2 lander so far? Given that's the weak point, I'd recommend starting by testing 3-4 of the most different landers you can possibly think of - short-form, very long-form, survey-based, highly interactive, etc - and see which does best. Then narrow down your split-tests from there.
