Meetup at Affiliate Summit East 2014? (58)

Hey guys, does anyone going to New York in August for the Affiliate Summit want to meetup? This is the first affiliate marketing conference I'm going to, and I'm hoping to hangout with stmr's there!

I prefer conferences in Vegas (leadscon, affiliate summit, etc.). If any of you guys end up attending let me know. I have access to a condo at The Martin anytime I want and the parties are always fun.

Was thinking of attending East but I'm moving to the US, and won't have a Fake ID to enter the after-parties (Since I'm 18, fuck) , MIGHT come to East, but West Surely

Don't want to to change the direction of the topic, but has anyone seen 18 yo attending AS? do they end up in the after-parties heh? I don't like the 21+ law .

never been to ASE myself so I have no idea about how strict they are with their policies, but ive been to a few events and functions when I was under aged myself

general rule of thumb is to not draw attention to yourself at the fact that you are under aged. no one really cares in the first place up to the point when it starts becoming obvious or they start hearing about it or they start thinking there will be a chance that they may have to do something about it.

Yah I attended ASE underage, you can get into the aff parties not to hard, at the A4D Griffin party they had bouncers but somehow I just stood behind MrG and they got me in, was well worth it no matter what you'll still make the STM meet, but yeah above haha is another option..

Ye not working about NOT Being able to attend the meetup/summit itself, that';s fine, I'm 18, but the after-parties are the best everywhere they say . Was thinking of bribing the bouncer for like $200 if I get "caught" heh.

^^ The great thing these days is there's tons of meetups too where ID is rarely needed. The meetups are GREAT, + you can still organize your own private meetings too with AMs/Reps etc...

I'm so tempted to go but don't want to spend all my campaign monies I've been saving up lol. I want to meet lots of new contacts but I'm not sure if it's a wise move to go this year. What would you guys recommend?

I didn't realize this was in NYC! I have been dabbling in AM for a few years now with some PPV success back in 08/09. Haven't done too much since, but want to get back into it and I finally have the time / budget. Is this worth attending for someone that isn't "killing it" or super experienced yet? What about the STM party? I am going to be in NYC to see the band Brand New Saturday on August 9th so I'm thinking about coming to ASE / STM meetup...Thoughts??

After the STM meetup our party starts and you're all invited to our Open Bar party at Griffin tomorrow night in the meat packing district for Affiliate Summit East.

Doors open at 9pm and the open bar runs to 1am. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Sadly I won't be attending anymore had a very misfortunate event in the family. Shattered I won't get too meet you magical stackas, but ASW and Rio are not too far away so you'll all have to take a rain check on the big hugs!

Venue got crazy at the end was pretty hilarious.

At 8pm the meetup ended and general public started entering and it was an interesting scene. People started getting DOWN!

View got really nice once the sun set!

Venue let us fill the place to capacity, had 200 STMers pack the terrace! Best ASE meetup yet

We've done post before, it's easy when everyone is already together to sort out bits and pieces. Plus ASW is a lot more enjoyable without a broken wrist or two.

I would go for post. Koh Samui after BKK was amazing.

I'm thinking post though, doing ASW after ski'ing through 4ft of powder for 3 days may just be a soul breaker
