My bids seem to be jumping all around the map. I'm bidding 1.00 cpc with at least .1 ctr and the bids aren't dropping that much I'm stuck paying 50-60 cents a click while some drop occasionally. I can't drop my bid or else I lose volume.
My best ad has a .19 ctr and I'm still paying 42 cents a click for traffic
Anyone having experience with forcing a lower average cpc?
Thanks guys
Are you pausing/unpausing your ad everyday?
Nope I do change my budgeting tho
Has this just been recently?
Recently for me any new campaigns ive launched the click prices are a lot harder to lower. Pretty much since the FB bans started, i had 2 fb-email submit campaigns to show but i couldn't get either profitable because even with 0.3 CTR i was still at 20 cents clicks... and i know it's never usually that high.
Can you post those campaigns? Curious to see how you got the high ctr!
So i decided to bid for one of my offers 5 cents above recommended at around 1.85 etc (usually I bid around .25 and raise it). As soon as I did it I noticed a flood of good quality traffic with higher CTR's and better conversion rates. As soon as I slowly and steadily dropped my bid prices I to around .32-.33 I am still getting traffic but the CTR just dropped badly and the conversions just aren't all that good.
Yeah Facebook's whole system sucks.
I feel like the system might have changed in the last few weeks. A lot of things I'm hearing is following a different algorithm then what i'm used to. I'm also noticing it myself a lot on 2 new campaigns.
I'm not entirely sure dropping bids adjusted the CTR so dramatically in the past!
Not sure if this helps but a current campaign I have running (which is getting cheap clicks) I bid slightly under the recommended off the get go but the ads have a really good ctr, talking an avg of .5-.6+% over 25 ads. Now the avg cpc has gone down to 3cents with 1 ad in particular doing 2 cent clicks.
I launched this yesterday too so it's a brand new campaign - hopefully it won't die out any time soon.
I am noticing that larger groups and less targetting is making for lower bids right off the batt and segmentation even on larger groups bumps suggest bid range up quite a lot.
