Mobile apps to use for spying
Hey stackers and stackettes,
I just started with mobile pretty much (got a few campaigns under my belt but that's it). Using Voluum I found various apps that shows the ads I'm paying for, so I started to download these. I've got WRW already but after this I also got HideMyAss VPN on my mobile and iPad and used various countries to get some info about what's working. I'm sure there are many apps that are global we can all get some info from. Now I'm wondering if there are any other peeps here that would be interested in building a list either publicly here or in private.
For example:
1. Download HideMyAss VPN (or another VPN tool) on phone/tablet
2. Download apps
3. Write down what apps shows ads that other people can spy on in the forum/Skype group chat
4. Everything gets added to one list separated by platform and tablet/phone

A similar thing was recently suggested by Redrummr.
One issue here is this will only help you find ads targeted to WiFi traffic - not carrier traffic.

Zeno - Yes aware of that, it's a start though. The next project could be people gathering up to use the apps in the list to find ads in their own country, and upload the banners/landers somewhere where everybody can see them. Something more likely to suit smaller masterminds. It was just an idea, so it would be interesting to see if anyone else would be interested in something like this.

We should stop these mobile spying threads.
Should be one giant, stickied thread. I looked through some older posts (1-2 years old) and one person had success submitting their basic mobile site to Adfonic (or another network) and the network then provides a portal where you can see ads that will be served on your site (including carrier traffic, and presumably all geos) so you can do things like proactively reject some ads you don't want your visitors to see.
Since all networks seem to be intertwined in buying traffic and run-off inventory, finding 2-3 networks that provide lists of ads is probably a great start.
Moreover, network AMs will probably not be too worried about sharing some top marketer's ads if you have shown promise with decent spend already.

It seems that it can be used (sort of) multi carrier mobile communication hub. More exactly you can see the fusion here:
http://www.calamp.com/products/broad...routers/fusion
This devices are used for other purposes as you see but if someone can find a method can use the 4G/3G multi network capabilities of this device for spying by using different countries sims (enabling roaming to all) and checking apps.
Or using a service like
http://www.movirtu.com/#!manyme/c1aq3
that use virtual sim cards. As they say: Implemented as a Virtual VLR (Visitor Location Register), Movirtu’s patented Virtual SIM Platform dynamically assigns mobile numbers to SIM cards. Enables multiple numbers to be assigned to a single phone and allows subscribers to easily switch between profiles. Users can add and remove mobile numbers from within the app.

It looks like a cellular hub i.e. a way to connect to carriers and then use it basically as a router... so you could connect a PC to it and be connected via a carrier.
