10 EASY Steps on How To Run A Mobile Campaign

Another one of my nutshell posts...

10 steps.. GO!

1. Come up with angles – use the service by anglesaurus if you have problems here
2. Get the creatives (banners and/or landers) – Check bannerslanders.com if you aren't creative
3. Setup tracking & campaigns
4. Collect data
5. Establish which one is the best angle (this is where Voluum or STM tracker will come in handy, look at different data, see what works (carrier/placement, carrier/phone, carrier/os, etc, placement/creative)
6. Kill the bad banners, leave the best running
7. Kill the bad performing landers, leave the best running.
8. Kill placements that are x times offer payout and below what you are paying per click
9. Split test banner variations, lander variations, carriers, phone models, etc (split test what has the biggest impact.
10. Scale

I would not jump towards an ANGLE first , but my first point of acton would be,

1. Select an Offer and Analyse the Market, Mobile apps and games offers are not static, and doesn't stay forever.

always great post Attila.. as easy as craking the nutshell

is it true that different banner and lander types are needed for CPC and CPM ?

CPC : since we only pay for each click, we need more straight-to-the point banner to expose lander and offer benefits.
CPM : banners should be more "attractive" and related to TS niche so we can get good CTR, then good lander needed to convert the attracted visitor from TS niche to subscribe / donwload the offer

any clue for this ?

I wouldn't change banner design just to suit bidding mode.

Bidding mode is a variable that you control, so should just be tested like anything else.

You wouldn't completely change the designs you used in banners for when targeting WiFi vs Carrier traffic, right?

Fundamentally, when a user sees your banner, they don't know what bidding mode you are using so there will be no change in intent. Things like ad position, reach, etc. will change with bidding mode and these are things Facebook's algorithms control (again, doesn't involve users, so changing the elements they respond to doesn't make sense).
