I have been learning FB advertising for the last few months (with one of my consistent earning niches in Forex) and decided to expand into some other campaigns/niches. With one of my first test campaigns, I stumbled onto a highly targeted group, with great click through (3.8%) and low CPC (.09), but can't get them to make a purchase of a high gravity CB product, specifically targeted for that niche. Not sure if I should ditch the campaign or try something else, like building an email list. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?
Are you pre-selling with a lander?
Don't expect people to whip out a CC after being direct linked to a CB offer - especially if you don't have any data on how well the sales page does.
Are you doing Right hand side ad or newsfeed ad?
Selling directly through facebook doesn't work for most people. There are a few who made it work but the default approach would be to use an autoresponder.
Yes, but it may be a weak attempt at pre-sell. Its a one page lander with video testimonial. They can then go from their to the sales page via a link below the video.
The one ad that does very well is both right side and newsfeed. Majority of clicks are via mobile.
So build a squeeze page and build the email list?
Sounds like I need to go with the "build a list" approach and then find additional products to market/sell to the list. Thanks for the feedback guys!
Haha, yep I think you've answered your own question.
Pretty much everything said, just one thing: it doesn't have to be a squeezepage.
Splittest it against a content-rich page with gives out a lot of info with an email form for users who want to know even more.
That will usually get you a lower conversionrate to the optin but a much higher quality of the leads (=higher CR to the sale).
I tested that for my own campaign a few weeks ago and for me the increased cost per lead was well put off as sales conversionrate skyrocketed.
Most people use squeezepages though ... you need to test it, just don't forget to have at least two conversion goals in each ad - one for the lead and one for the sale!
In the end what matters is ROI.
