For Longtime Forum Members: How Has STM Most Helped YOU?

Hello STM!

I am new to the forum, and I must admit I am a bit overwhelmed by all the content here. So I would like to humbly ask you longtime forum member masters for your personal advice and experiences.

* How has STM most helped YOU?
* How can I make the best use of STM?
* Which members' posts should I definitely follow?
* How relevant to today are some of the older posts (more than a year old)?

Thank you!!!

a) helped me with connections / networking
b) I have a blog and I get a ton of traffic from STM

The key to getting the most of this forum is being able to separate the gold from the shit. There is a ton of good information here, but there's also bad information (too many newbs posting bad advice trying to sound smart)

Identify the guys who know their stuff and read everything they write. Me, owners of the forums, Maynzie, smaxor, kokofai, etc.

Don't fall into the trap of too much reading. Always supplement the reading with appropriate action.

I think how I would approach the forum is divide affiliate marketing into different areas you want to improve. Example next two weeks you want to improve your ad skills. Search and learn about ads ONLY, and take copious amount of notes. Apply what you learn about ads to your campaigns.

Once that's done, move on to a diff section such as landing pages.

I think this is a much better approach than what most newbies do, they try to improve at everything. instead make the circles smaller. Deliberate practice

Excellent quote! The Art Of Learning?

Not to hijack the thread, but I've found the principle behind that quote - making smaller circles - has helped me improve in just about everything I've applied it to, from being more productive to having better ideas to improving as a jumpshooter during basketball games.

Powerful stuff.

^ as mentioned above..... Just get moving, read ALOT and DO ALOT... launch campaigns and as drNGO states improve as you go along creating campaigns..... As you go along you will start to notice little things/best practices that make a difference in the campaigns, traffic sources, headlines, landing pages, etc....

Once youve got a couple campaigns going and data rolling in you will begin to see patterns in the data that is coming in and you can refine all of your ongoing campaigns from the info you glean from individual campaigns....

How STM helped? It showed me a world of marekting/advertising i never really knew about or could believe was possible....

The rest? Hustle and constant motion.

I had read some where that 99% of the info you need to accomplish/learn anything is already available in books, online, and other sources....

For the most part everyone has access to the same information, most folks just dont take action based on what they learn.

Keen eye.

Books about learning have definitely helped me develop my skills more and help explain the concepts better.

Off top of my head art of leaning & the talent code are my two favorites.

Internet marketing legend Dr. Ngo has commented TWO TIMES to my post!

STM is amazing that there are so many legends who still share their wisdom with even such inexperienced people like me.

Wow.

I can officially say that this has made my day!
