Hooray, finally he gets some heat, but I bet he isn't going to get investigated by the FTC.
If you're too lazy to read, this is the most important thing I got from the article:
"Take a hard look, FTC advises, if the ad claims the product
Causes weight loss of two pounds or more a week for a month or more without dieting or exercise;
Causes substantial weight loss no matter what or how much the consumer eats;
Causes permanent weight loss even after the consumer stops using the product;
Safely enables consumers to lose more than three pounds per week for more than four weeks;
Causes substantial weight loss for all users; or
Causes substantial weight loss by wearing a product on the body or rubbing it into the skin."
EEEK. Glad I ain't a yankee!
We were watching the online stream of the hearing yesterday. It's making news but the hearing itself was a joke. Mostly empty chairs on the panel as usual. Didn't accomplish a thing, and didn't lay out any plans to accomplish anything moving forward. So just a normal everyday congress hearing that the media outlets are now using as click bait for the most part.
As he deserves to be. The guys a snake oil sales man for sure. Just basically a shot across the bow saying we're going to send the FTC after you if you don't knock this shit off.
He's lucky, that's more then most get. They just get a CID.
