So this week I saw my first conversion from POF - a whopping $5!
As much as I know I'm still a million miles away from sticking it to the 9-5 man I'm still kinda stoked. I was surprised as hell to see that conversion!

Sure, I've seen higher yields than this with some of my other online endeavours, but this is my first foray into what I consider to be a scalable model where there is still lots of success to be had, so I'm glad I took the plunge and started.
I'm still a relative n00b trying to find my way but you can read my follow along here if you're interested.
Thanks to the community for the help so far.
Stop slackin', start stackin'! (Hands off, I'm TM'ing that - how do I get a damn profile signature anyway??)
Ahhhh the first conversion, what a conversion it was! Get used to them, they will start flooding.
Hey telemaster,
Congrats on your first conversion in PoF!
I just got mine today in PoF as well. Makes you think about the possibilities in AM!
The first conversion is always the sweetest. Congratulations!!!
Yah that first conversion is hard to beat lol triggers a big emotional response of the next possibilities

Hey telemaster,
Just join the forum and read your post, quite inspired as I myself is a n00bz! I have a few question if you don't mind sharing.
1) May I ask where did you start out at? As I am totally new, should I just follow the 2014 guide?
2) Also do you have to have a huge budget like $1000? Because I am a student so quite a broke bloke.
Anyway regarding your signature you can follow the steps below
Top right corner
Settings> left side bar there is edit profile, edit signature and stuff.
Hey vunvoong! Welcome to the forum man.
I don't mind answering your questions at all.
1) Started out a couple months ago. Spent time initially just reading various forum posts/follow alongs and just digesting information from the 2013 guide. I took notes on stuff in the guide so I could distill the information and digest it gradually. Then after about another 3 weeks I launched my first campaigns on POF.
2) If you speak to most people on this forum they wouldn't consider $1000 a huge budget. That's probably the bare minimum you would need and you would have to seriously focus that budget well because it'd probably get eaten up pretty fast. My budget personally is $3000 ($500/month x 6 months) but most on the forum recommend $5000 as the minimum so I'm somewhere in between.
So far I've spent about $500 and at this stage I'm not seeing profit and didn't expect to be. I'm still tweaking my camps, calibrating my cross-hares and focusing my aim but I remain confident I can make my campaigns profitable soon.
Hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Yeah worked out the signature thing a while back, but thanks!
Hey telemaster,
Thanks for the honest feedback. Love the culture here. Yeah I guess with a higher budget it would show my commitment as well! I will go beg borrow or steal it than haahahahah!
Alright I shall get started on the guide and get focus on a traffic source and absorb as much as I can.
Nice to meet you btw!
Hey,
I started out when I was a student as well. In retrospect, definitely don't spend money you don't have.
Credit cards and personal/student/graduate loans are useful if you have something that works and you need funds to (safely!) scale and provide cashflow.
But don't spend money on IM campaigns that digs straight into credit. Set aside money to use on campaign that you are willing to lose.
Sacrifice a coffee a day, or alcohol, whatever it takes to give you some pocket money for campaigns.
Then, absorb as much info as possible from this forum. You will not get near as much valuable info from anywhere as you will get from here for $100.
But, you do need to run your own campaigns to get practical experience.
However, they need not be $500/week campaigns - you can learn with pennies if you pick the traffic source and demographic right.
