Need Help Optimizing Low Payout offer on FB

I'm currently testing a niche offer on facebook with a .70 payout. I ran it for a while today and spent $88, made $14 (screencap of stats below). I didn't expect to profit initially since I know I need to get solid CTR and lower CPC. I started with a lot of different ads...total of 90 across 2 different demos.

I have a few ads doing OK and I already have ideas on how to improve the CTR, my main question is when do I cut ads that have a good CTR but no conversions? I've heard that 2x the offer payout is customary. On this campaign, however, my initial CPC was almost 2x the payout. I don't know if I should let them rock until they get a really low CPC so any conversion for them is a nice ROI.

I have a pretty good feeling about the campaign in general and the population across all demos is 5million so I have plenty of ability to scale once I get it right.

Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

well 10 clicks isn't a lot of data. in the future you should try doing it in "waves" of images of about 10-20. that way you can get solid data on a bunch of different styles of images and then recognize some trends. 10 clicks on any image would not be enough in my mind to say failure or winner.

Is your CPC actually 1.15? also you may want a clearer subid naming scheme.

Yeah, I realized I probably messed up a little bit by throwing such a large number up at once. That seems to be an OK strategy with dating, but this feels different. So you're saying let the images with a good CTR ride it out longer w/ no conversions?

initial CPC was 1.15...it's gone down I just haven't updated 202 with it. I chopped my subids off when I did the screen cap, but there's another part on there that ties it all together for me.

I agree with constantin....too few clicks to judge anything......

also do ads in bunches....10 or so at a time.....if you have a +ROI keep that ad running pause the rest setup a new camp and test 10 more.....

keep doing this....you cant really get a feel for things till you get 50-100 clicks or so.....on a .70 payout thats tough...sometimes as things can be thin...depending on the country you are in....so when i do this i tend to look at possiblitiies....

eg.....bid range 1.75 - 2.30cpc my epc.... 20 cents.....can i get that profitable...maybe....but it wont be easy and its gonna cost a fair amount to get it there as I am gonna have to test lot to get that bid down below 20 cents....so you have to look at stuff like that and make a judgement call...not saying it cant be done....BUT more of is it worth your time and cash to get there beacuse you would need a 15 cpc and push alot of volume to make it all worthwhile.....
