Battery Doctor is owned by Kingsoft, the same company behind Clean Master. Being that they're about to IPO for ~500 million dollars and have over 70 million in VC funding, I'm relatively sure they didn't have payment problems.

Instead, the reason it was paused was that Battery Dr hit #1 in overall free apps in the iOS app store in a matter of days with some random high volume affiliates pushing it

Therefore there was no reason to continue the burst campaign.

Thanks for your case study!

i meant cpa nets were waiting on payments, and since there on net 30, cpa's have to front us all the money. Therefore, campaigns got paused, until the cpa's were paid off. Atleast thats what i was told. But, makes sense, would be nice if they released some intl versions of it.

Why didn't u run directly?

I am surprised clickdealer had an issue with that i'm assuming they had the advertiser on Net 30 paid weekly. Most CPA companies just act as a banker/middle man that's the whole point.

Thanks awesome share! I subscribed to your email list and the Mad Hatter newsletter as well.

it wasn't just click dealer, it went down network wide i guess. Was a while back maybe a month ago. Also i don'y blame any of them, if i had to float 500k-1mil for a month , i'd pause the campaign until i got paid.

Yeah, the mobile unit will be listing at an expected market cap of $2 billion.

Currently, it is jointly owned by Tencent, Kingsoft Computer Software and Lei Jun.

Given that Tencent's market cap is over $150 billion, Kingsoft's market cap is $5 billion, and Lei Jun is one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in China and basically China's Steve Jobs, I don't think paying a few thousand USD in affiliate commissions is an issue for them.

It is not even a rounding error.

Fortune 500 companies pay net 30 all the time, even companies with plenty of liquidity

I ran something similar on ExoClick. A word to the wise, be careful with US mobile redirects on Exo. Only 40% of the traffic was actually US. Lots of Iranians, Indians and Pakistanis connecting to US proxies to look at their porn.

It sounds more like the Aff Network Paused the offer till payments came in. They may have floated more than they initially wanted.

Haha so Tim you were the one!

I didn't manage to blow this up as I was on a vacation. The offer only lasted for like a week so those who jumped into it earlier made some really good money.

It was as simple as duplicating what was working on Android to iOS.

timtetra being timtetra, I am pretty sure he also found a way to convert his campaign spend that day into 9 million more frequent flier miles.

King sent an email when the offer was available and I it didn't take more than a week before they pause it.

You guys are pretty fast!

You should be able to.

The IPO actually happened a few days ago, ticker symbol is NYSE:CMCM (no relation to me) and current market cap is about US $2 billion.

Not quite sure but isn't it non-compliant promotion if you say "Your Battery needs an update"?
