Tracking links using Facebook

Hey, my question might seem very simple but I'm searching for a long time how to do it.
Basically I'm doing a free giveaway on my FB page in order to build a list. The link is directing them to a landing page hosted on a site outside of FB.
What I wanted to know is how I can track all of this process, meaning the amount of clicks I got on my link on FB and the amount of people that converted on my site - left their email.
Is there a simple way of doing it? Probably something with the "thank you page"?

Cheers!

Use prosper for tracking & hire a php coder or check out someone from fiverr to write a simple php script that would postback as soon as your user reaches thank you page or whatever after submitting email.

Thanks, do you think I can use Voluum for the tracking? I'm already familiar with it...

Yep, use something like Prosper202, CPV Lab, Voluum, etc.

Use the optional URL tags feature of Facebook ads. So, if your tracking URL normally looks like this:

hxxp://mydomain.com?t202id=1234&t202kw=this&c1=that

Then you would link your ad to hxxp://mydomain.com?t202id=1234 and add "t202kw=this&c1=that" to the optional URL tags part (I'm assuming you are using page post links).

Send people through the tracking system to a lander. If it's an email setup then you'll need an autoresponder most likely, at which point you will want the email that gets sent to them to contain a pixel for your tracking system or postback functionality.

Check out the tracking forum if you want help with p202 - there is a modded version available here and guides for both p202 and CPV Lab.

Great,
I'm actually looking to track clicks on my link in my FB page as a test initially and than start to advertise it. So no Facebook tokens yet.
I will use an autoresponder if the test will work as I suspect, but in any case any email opt in is sent to my page email so I can track the conversions, but I am interested in knowing how many clicks I got so I can check the conversion rate.
Hope that's make sense.
Thanks for the help.
