CJ.com or Maxbounty for First Campaign?

Hey all,

I been signed up with Maxbounty looking at offers, have one my AM
suggested (a gaming offer).

I signed up with CJ.com too and browsing through there, seems
like they have a lot of higher end items on there but also stricter
policies in advertising.

Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong, I'm not exactly use to the
interface yet.

For a first campaign for a guy just getting into paid affiliate
marketing, which is a better bet? Maxbounty or doing an
offer off Cj.com?

Obviously this is subjective in large part based off the offer,
but I would like to hear the veteran's experiences with these
companies.

Thanks in advance!

Most CJ.com stuff is cost-per-sale and will be harder to deal with as a newbie. People don't buy things = you don't get any commission.

Stick to offers that pay for leads to start.

Personally i hate CJ they banned me because the banner had a search button with a text box

They told me it was forcing clicks this was few days before pay day

Even once i pointed out that the travel companies banners which where allowed had same thing they didn't want to know or discuss the matter

End of the day i went direct with the advertiser and they where happy so it was CJs loss

As for maxbounty not promoted
alot stuff there but when i have dealt with them they have be great

Be careful with CJ.com and tracking. They are not allowing using a tracker (hiding your click referer link).

You can use a tracker just make sure you don't cloak referrers.

CJ.com is not a network you want to try and hide stuff from, or try and do anything even remotely outside whitehat with.

Considering the clients they work with, the privilege of being able to just sign up and send traffic is very valuable.

ah so lean towards maxbounty until I get a better grasp on things then.

I noticed they had some pretty high end clients, they even had one for AT&T.

But the rules and limitations seem awfully more confusing to my newbie brain in CJ than in Maxbounty >< lol
