Has anyone tried using some kind of escrow for these transactions? It seems everyone is getting scammed at one point or another.

escrow.com won't allow FB account transactions anymore.

What do you do about this? What CAN you do about this?
Sure you can warn users, but we'll probably never know his real name, and he'll just change it anyway. Sucks.
For some, scamming is a way of living – their only way out. It's too bad, and for me unbelievable, because scamming people must take up a lot of energy! Why don't they put that same amount of energy to good use instead of going for quick and dirty money? I just don't get it! You can earn 100x times the amount you can by scamming and STILL sleep well at night. It's all about proper focus. Quick wins never do anything for you when it comes to money. Just a short boost of confidence, and paranoia, then you're back in the scammer's grind.
«I did it for my family?»
... That's fucking bullshit..
Take it from somebody who got scammed over $1k trying to buy "yaahoo.com" years back on some shitty entrepreneur forum:
I hope the dude gets what's coming from him, there IS karma, and I hope you'll stop being angry and wasting your energy trying to chase him down fbfbfb. He has already exhausted $700 from you, don't let him get more.

People are getting scammed still.
this chat is some mins back. I am not sure whats his username in STM , asked him to PM me before he buys something.
So this is the reason why I was posting about him and he might be using my name!

Changing skype to to some reputed seller name.(keep on changing to new ones )
Spam everywhere that he got accounts.
Might be telling some shit about the accounts.
Ask for advance 50% or what ever he can get.

Ugh, hard to believe this crap still goes on.
To everyone who considers buying FB accounts...
ASK FOR REFERENCES. Talk to those references - verbally.
Don't pay money to people without first getting assurances, or do Escrow of some sort.
I'd talk to sellers verbally as well. It's easier to scam via text.

This sounds "ouch", but could you guys open the veil over "buying facebook accounts"? Why would you want to buy facebook accounts? A link to a thread will do too...

No offense to the the OP but getting furious over some guy who screwed you over with Facebook accounts so you can't make a quick buck on scammy rebills and yelling "karma's going to get you!"..the irony lol
Or if you want to get philosophical - perhaps it was your shitty karma that got you scammed in the first place? I always take my hat down to guys who have managed to scam me in the past.. hasn't happened a lot but I've got a few good stories. It's just the way of the world, no karma, no non-sense.. you got to watch your back.
Anyway, like many others have probably reitarated previously on past threads - only work with strong referrals and start small and build up some trust. Scams mostly work very similarly to pushing shitty CPA offers - there's creating the desire, showing the benefits and closing the deal with scarcity.
