My account got upgraded with it a few weeks ago, and to be honest it's not as useful as I thought it would be. At least for my purposes. I was hoping to use it for more detailed targeting, but the segmentations are too broad for my purposes. YMMV.

I'm absolutely loving it. It's like Google Trends on steroids.

Great way to start your demo research for any campaign, esp if you're not advertising on Facebook.

It's currently US-only I believe.

As far as I understand it provides demographic information on your campaign audiences right? But no details on CTR, performance etc? In this sense it could provide some hints for more refined targeting (e.g. 90% of your audience who likes X interest set is single) but since you usually target demographics specifically in the first place, it may not provide many revelations.

I'll have to test it though! Pity FB always rolls advertiser crap out for US accounts first though. PITA.

Can someone provide some screenshots?

The stuff on blogs is always a bit 'stock'.

Would be great to see a full overview of the various insights available for us outside the US (not sure if any PMDs haven't integrated it yet as well!).

Sure man, it's the least I could do after all the Facebook help you've given me!

Here's a bunch of screen grabs of the data from 35+ women who like the page Coupon Divas:

It's crazy how awesome it is. I can basically target a lot better by doing some quick Facebook Insight reporting. Has anyone who used it ,saw an improvement in their campaign performance? I haven't launched anything on Facebook since it launched.

Oh wait a minute, are these insights available for any page on Facebook? I was under the impression these were demographic insights from campaigns, i.e. those from the users your ads were delivered to!

Wow that steps up the usefulness a notch.

Just re-read blog post and noticed this line: "...Facebook usage, and purchase activity, and those data could be viewed by people on Facebook, people connected to brands’ pages or events, or people in custom audiences"

Not all pages; basically, any page you can access through Interest targeting will be available. Pages with lower amounts of likes (approx. 10k to 30k if I'm not mistaken) won't show up there, and if you're going to analyze a custom audience you need to have at least 1,000 people in it.

Can someone give a practical example of how someone would use it? I saw it tonight for the first time and it was an overwhelming amount of information

I have 3 niche ecommerce stores. Google Trends tells me the top cities I need to target for these niches based on search volume.

Now with FB Audience Insights, I know the gender break-down, education level, top professions, and top interests (FB pages with highest affinity) in these niches. Not only that, I can also filter down by city, state, or country for this niche too to see how I should target campaigns differently.

Same goes for pushing affiliate offers. I'm about to start working on offer X and I noticed it has a lot in common with offer Y, I look up offer Y's fan page on FB Audience as my first step...

I finally have access.

I can at least confirm that these are available if you are using an agency/business account, regardless of where you are registered.

I think the power of this is analysing a demographic that you want to target or already are, in order to find outliers that can be targeted using the plethora of demgoraphic targeting options FB provides.

Example... you are running a campaign for some game or product. This product has a relevant page or interest on FB. So, you go into audience insights and filter by this. You can now see the affinities of the FB user base for that page/interest. It just so happens that people who like that page are 32x as likely to also like another page - this is now a potential target. People in this demo are 67% more likely than the average FB user to have a job in retail. Bam new targeting to test!

Remember to look at the relative affinities not the actual %'s, i.e. look for blue bars far exceeding the grey averages.
