Just wanted to throw this out there, I was chatting with an agent from an Ad network which has mobile presence in my intended target GEO. After chatting for close to 15 minutes, perhaps after they realized that I wasn't Coca Cola or Walmart, they told me that they were not interested in "affiliate offers" as they only prefer direct ones.
What gives? Maybe I gave away myself being a newbie by asking the wrong questions.
Smartmad, has anyone dealt with them by proving yourself to be big enough to bring in some bucks for them?
Have a company + agency site. Then say that the offer is one of your clients.
Effectively an affiliate is similar to a digital agency. You make creative and buy media for merchants campaigns.
yeah this happens a lot...
especially with ad network that does not have SELF SERVING...
they just don't have the man-power to support small guys like us...
Thanks guys. Jason, one question though, wouldn't my small budget give it away (like I only deposit $200 into their account instead of $10000 each time...)? LOL!
Well, dropping $10,000 on an untested traffic source would be a poor investment strategy regardless of budget, though $200 might not impress them!
Are these guys self-serve or managed only? If they are managed then they will likely have a clear threshold budget they expect from advertisers... From their point of view, they probably don't want to expend their time on a customer of very little value.
Zeno, good point. They are self-serve. http://i.imgur.com/MgykUXf.jpg
It's just strange it is self-serve yet claimed NOT to work with affiliates, nor interested in affiliate offers. But will the big shots really would use this type of dinky simple platform?
Unless they have premium inventory... they may just be money hungry or want to keep their platform clean from affiliates who push junk and can cause problems.
