Hey there! I will try to make this journal as transparent as possible! I am aiming to make 100 campaigns in 2 months.
What we have so far:
Decisive account
The Appetiser method
Accounts at several CPA networks.
Let's go! Day #1
Offer: Armor for Android (INT) - lots of supported countries. i will pick UK $2.20 for this campaign. My AM told me that this is one of the top offers atm.
Banners: 8, i have used already provided banners
4 sub-campaigns, $8 each: wifi+app; wifi+site; mobile+app; mobile+site
Direct linking
Working with Decisive, Android only
Waiting for campaigns approval. Will update tomorrow with stats
Looking forward to your results!
Don't be too disappointed if initial results are terrible: stock banners tend not to do very well. I'd encourage you to move to custom ones that you've made yourself as soon as possible!
Day #1 Results:
Spent: $40.5
Revenue $0
~200 clicks to an offer
Campaign Stats:
WA = wifi+app ; MS=mobile+site; ...
Banner stats- top 3 banners for each combination:
Really weird. Banners are totally different across all the combinations WA/WS/MA/MS
CPM seems to be high. I've got it set to Smart CPM, CPA goal= $3.3.
I have my daily limit set to $8, but for some reason it didn't stop after spending $8..
When i am previewing this cpa offer it redirects me to a mobile landing page where after clicking "download" this apk is being downloaded automatically, not from a Google Play, probably this can scare users away, as this apk is installed from unknown source.. So there's already a landing page, meaning it would be kinda awkward for me to do another one.. Uhh not sure what to do about this campaign yet..
I am surprise your campaign got approved by Decisive if it is APK Download...
This concerns me a lot:
Day #2
I have chosen 4 cpa offers that i want to promote, and all of them require banners to be pre approval by merchant. I have made some banners and waiting for them to be approved, hopefully i will be able to launch a campaign today, if not - will launch 2 tomorrow. Previous campaign i was running i have decided to drop. May be i will launch it for another country to compare results.
Yup, don't dwell, just move forward.
Finally, an update on my journey.
I've been running a UcWeb Android (RU) offer $0.55 per Conversion. It's a browser app that is slightly faster than other browsers
Here's my stats:

All of my banners are the same in terms of design, i have only changed headline + CTA.
Basically all of them say something like "Got slow internet? This is how you can fix it" . Some banners got a CTR of 4%
At fist i was direct linking to the offer (download from G play), then i have switched to LP's, here they are:

"Got slow internet? this is how you can fix it. You can significantly boost speed of your internet surfing by downloading UcWeb. Pages load faster, Lower processor load. See for yourself 1m+ of downloads, 4.5/5 rating"
Today i am testing landing pages with the same design , but even less text..
But for some reason CTR of landing pages is like under 5% and no conversions..
Any ideas?
Keep with direct linking for now.
What are you bidding? Your CPCs for all your campaigns look pretty high.
UC Android is a decent offer, I would try also Opera browser for Russia.
Try even more simple banners like "Speed Up Your Phone", "Phone Slow?" with big "Fix Now" or "Download" buttons.
Keep testing until you hit the $15 mark. When and where you will see conversions is too variable to predict from 200 clicks alone!

Subscribed. I'm also testing this offer now. Similar results at the moment (0 conversions from 600+ clicks)
