Are Penny Auctions Allowed On Facebook? (4)
I haven't seen them for awhile and wanted to know if FB still disapproved those ads or banned accounts.
They are not allowed. Check fb ad guidelines. You might be able to sneak one with cloaker
So even if you ran ads to a Penny Auctions page on FB, it wouldn't matter?
P.S.--I didn't see anything on their Ad Guidelines page.
Virtually all penny auction offers are red-rated on MyWoT. You will likely get a fan page through but it will only be a matter of time before FB catches you. Penny auctions might get viewed as a subset of gambling but they will definitely get thrown out due to this:
"Unacceptable Business Model
Ads may not promote a business model or practice that is deemed by Facebook in its sole discretion to be unacceptable or contrary to Facebook's overall advertising philosophy or to any applicable law, including but not limited to multi-level marketing schemes, or advertisements for scams."
We all know penny auctions are crap, and Facebook certainly knows this too.
My advice: don't try to find ways to run non-compliant things on FB. Find ways to make money without breaking the ToS of a traffic source.
