Help Me Interpreting This Data?

I've ran this campaign around 2 months ago. I'd like you to judge what I've done. I was a bit clueless about what to do next and afraid of losing money. Unfortunatelly I did nothing.

I've made 40 variations: 2 LPs x 20 banners (10 I created, totally new angles + 10 I got on other big adult sites).

Targeting USA Xhamster NTVA 320 x 250

Offer Ihookup SOI: $ 2.20 / lead.

I. I've ran the 40 variations 1x the payout.
5 variations produced leads. 1 variation produced 3 leads. I decided to run just this variation to see how it goes.

II. I ran the winning variation (it was one of the banners I created).

On this phase I spent around $ 22 on traffic and got also $22 on conversions.

I stoped because I didn't know what to do next... the campaign was just breaking even... any interpretation on this situation?

There isn't really much data here to interpret.

You've just had some very preliminary results.

If you have a banner on some placement doing 'OK', you should test other banners, LPs and offers and see if you can get them to do better than 'OK'.

If you want to cut banners purely on ROI rather than CTR, you'll need to spend significantly more per banner. I'd recommend 4x the payout per banner to get a solid idea of which ones work best.

Looks promising, though - keep testing!

Have you checked which LP variant is doing the best? See Part 11 of the Getting Started Guide for how to do that.

@zeno

Thanks man. I wish I were here when I ran that campaign. Probably I'd know what to do and maybe I'd have my winner. Nothing to complain however, I'm here now .

@caurmen

I'll read again your guide entirely. I think cutting based on CTR first is best bet?

Also I've spent 1x payout per banner because it was cheap: just 2 dollars / variation.

One of the LPs performed really really good, the other one was very poor, so that "breaking even" variation that I spent 22 and made 22 back was 1 banner + 1 LP.

I stoped at that time because I didn't know what to do next and had fear of losing money testing things that didn't worked.

About same proccess repeated on 2 other campaigns too, one for Brazil and one for the US, more targeted. I was not breaking even with a single variation, but I was getting good conversions. I just didn't know how to make that conversions worth more then the campaign spent. And I was clueless about what doing next.
