'WAP' prefixing offer

Noob question here... In mobile, the offers in F5 media are prefixed by [WAP] - what does this mean (if anything)??

It means that these offers are suitable for mobile devices - smartphones and tablets.

Install "User agent switcher" addon to your Firefox browser, switch to (for example) iPhone device and load one of these offers landing pages.

Abbreviation means:
(WAP) - Wireless Application Protocol

Yeah it means mobile.

Its a stupid acronym since none of the offers are really WAP but I guess it stuck since the old days of mobile internet.
