holy shit... I just realized there is a "transparent" option in google image search..
this maybe a noob tip, but I have always searched for png's by adding png to the search query... I just noticed in 'search tools' under 'color', there is a transparent option that pulls in all .png's with transparent backgrounds.

Not to blow your mind away

but this has been out for well over a year.
You can also filter by animated gifs, line drawings, public domain, face shots, etc. etc. etc.
Just pick the relevant options here

Awesome tip! I was doing the same thing aswell, by adding PNG in the query.

@cmdeal I cant believe I never noticed it! Ive used many other options before; line drawings, face shots, black and white, size, etc..., just never noticed transparent
my mind is still blown
