Does anyone use leadpages.net or unbounce.com to create landing pages for their affiliate offers? If this is not recommended please let me know.

That's not generally recommended.
Neither Unbounce nor Leadpages are particularly set up to work well for affiliate offers. In particular, both will tend to produce rather slow landers, which are death in AM.
If you're looking for something visual to use, I'd recommend Adobe Muse.
