How does this affect the impressions from the advertisers bidding on top 5?
(I had a couple of adult websites long time ago...)
and I was a publisher... when I implemented this type of ad delivery... I got a serious warning from my ad network...
They say it is impression inflation... so I had to stop doing it...
So, are you complaining as an Advertiser or as a Publisher?

especially if they do not know that their banners get rotated every 4minutes...
basically 1 user watching a 15mins porn... could eventually get 3 impressions of NTVA and another 3 impressions of NTVB...
I think the only advertiser who benefits from this is TOP 1...
and the banners of the top2... top3 and so on... get displayed/rotated without the visitor seeing it..
("IF" the visitor maximized the video player)... because NTVA and the NTVB keeps changing the banners every 4minutes...

Back to the impact on the advertiser: The reason why we change the ad every 4 minutes is that if the viewer hasn't click within that time frame he is very unlikely to click at all, therefore, we display a new set of ads in order to "give a chance" to "top 2... top 3" as you call them in your post.
Our goal here is to maximize the CTR for our advertisers, if a user shows no interest in the ad shown, he might click on the next one.

What happens if the user maximized the video player within the first 4minutes he is viewing the video?
Which I know happens from time to time... (based on experience... LOL)
will NTVA and NTVB continues to reload/rotate banners... even if the user are not seeing those banners?

Who watches porn for more than 4 minutes? The only reason to recycle impressions is to inflate impressions.

Sooooo, thank you for your patience, I had the answer form the Pornhub dev team.
The ads do reload while the player is in full screen, however, all reloads are capped to twice.
In other words, regardless the time you spend on a page, the ads should only be reloaded twice max.
As Waltermitty said, event though I have no precise stat to share, I assume people are rarely spending 4 minutes or more on a single page / video.

I ask because I get really low CTR on mobile spots, not matter if I'm a top bidder or second.
