Going direct & Pay Bumps

What up Stackers!

When is it a good time to go direct with some of the adult dating advertisers? Specifically, I've found one company that "owns" most of the offers I promote and I found their affiliate manager on LinkedIn. I'm a low volume affiliate, so I'm not sure when the best time to reach out would be?

Another question, by going direct - what type of prices can you negotiate on SOI type offers?

Thanks Gents.

It will depend a lot on volume you can deliver and quality.

If you can do over $1k a day and you have decent quality I would hit them up.

I always asked myself, how would you respond when your AM asks you why your volume stopped? Probably not the best choice to say i went direct right?

but on the other hand if you are doing volume there's a decent chance he knows your landers and what you promote now.

Im not in the adult vertical but I can 100% tell you that I separate all our conversions out by AffID and monitor rebill and charge back rates.

As an advertiser I actually prefer going through the network for a few of the following reasons.
1. Ability to dispute specific conversions, I find this much harder when you are dealing with a direct affiliate.
2. Networks have greater flexibility with payment terms. I have yet to find a direct affiliate that is comfortable with anything over net 4.
3. Obviously only sending 1 wire a week compared to numerous with direct affs.
4. Not much cost savings available on the advertiser side most direct affs expect a significant increase in payout when they go direct. Even if we split the difference I really see no upside to dealing with numerous people for a 3.5% savings.

Obviously this does not take into account those large volume affiliates who can push high daily numbers. I go out of my way to build a relationship with those guys.
