Also, FYI, threads seeking or offering Facebook or Adwords account sales are no longer allowed on STM: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...Allowed-On-STM

Did you guys get a c&d? Or is this just a writing on the wall type of thing.

BTW that guy went well beyond the typical agency or personal account creation path. He committed numerous instances of wire and bank fraud. He was straight up stealing money from Facebook and the companies he claimed to be from. ROI is easy when you never pay your bill.

Surprised it took this long to do anything considering the amount of fraud that's been going on for months

Yep, account sellers are shady. But all of it is fraud, from account selling to us cloaking. I am running down my last accounts and then starting another batch and letting them age while I focus on the longer term things such as mobile. FB ROI is too good to quit totally, so it's one to keep on the side for life imo.

Luckily it looks like FB is only seeking civil action. But from our legal... Even having the intention of not paying is Fraud.

Well, given that i) the charges include clear cases of wire fraud and identity theft, ii) the guy pretty much incriminated himself repeated and in writing with all of his immature online postings, iii) most of these "wanna be ballers" tend to play fast and loose with their taxes as well, I would imagine that this would be a pretty easy criminal case for any state attorney general and the IRS.

Yeah I'd imagine it's textbook closed case on this one, no escape.

It's surprising how people get involved in this type of thing and go down in flames, when there are plenty of people who have exploited such acumen in legitimate avenues, made a lot more money, and built wealth that survives. Human nature I suppose.

Amex is amazing if you are a consumer! I do not accept Amex as a merchant because you could have a video of the customer ordering the product while holding the TOS and you will still lose the chargeback.

This sucks because it was the only reason i ever joined this forum (every 2 months) to find reputable providers. Hopefully this changes in the future. Just my 02

Won't be happening in the foreseeable future. If you want to deal with account buying/selling it would be wiser anyway to do it via word-of-mouth through people you trust*

Guys on this note anyone who is in here posting cloakers, accounts, other means of which to....ahem...do things your not suposed to...lets have some common sense

if you wanted drugs would you go buy them from the guy on the corner shouting..."get your meth here....great prices...buy 2 get one free"???????

I know everyone thinks this forum is some sorta holy ground...and anything we say here is "ok"....but its a public forum man....anyone with $99 bones can sign up...and as such its been exploited both ways...

its a proven FACT that fb risk team is on this forum...

I know for a fact scammers just signed up to post they had accounts....when in reality they had nothing...but an easy mark...

fuck man the money some of these account sellers were making aka charging was crazy....and demand so high....it was beyond anything even wall street could cook up...15k for a 5k account at some points....and guys were selling them in bunches....

I wouldn't trust anyone openly selling (aka posting about it or in their sig) anything that does seem grey/black hat...

just sayin'
