Very familiar face there...

"Grunin contacted Facebook reps and posed as a staffer for marketing firms like Imprezzio Inc. in order to open the sham accounts. He even backed up his claims with falsified bank records and doctored e-mail addresses, according to the suit."

That is fraud... and it also serves as a warning to existing affiliate who is trying hundred of ways to get accounts.

DO THE THINGS RIGHT!

He scammed them $350k of unpaid ad credit...dancing with the devil there.

Here's the lawsuit link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/225609724/Facebook-v-Grunin

Reminds me of Ryan Eagle somehow... the more ballin someone pretends to be, the more shit is behind.

Just read that he received a C&D from FB around September 2011. Ignores that, and now pays the price. He's only 22 and already ruined a lot of his business life credibility.

Once people start posing with rental cars you know that they'll get fucked soon.

He used to be here often sharing great stuff on Facebook advertising.

Just to clear something up, he stiffed Facebook for $350k in owed $...?

I think in some cases, he exploited credit lines + monthly invoicing from other companies accounts to run ads then disappear...

Obviously he committed serious fraud by impersonating people from those companies and faking financial records to prove his affiliation.

At least that's my understanding.

“Stewart” asked Facebook to create new advertising accounts for Thinkmodo with high spend limits and to apply Marketing Drive’s credit line to the Thinkmodo campaigns. Grunin’s scheme was to fraudulently procure advertising accounts that would allow him (or his customers) to charge ads run from the fraudulently created “Thinkmodo” accounts to the legitimate Marketing Drive account. Because Marketing Drive was billed monthly, Grunin was able to run a large number of ads without paying for them before Marketing Drive or Facebook discovered the fraud"
....

That's what greed does to you. He may have been going well, but wanted more money and without much effort. And that's what gets you into these situations.

I was up last night reading through a thread he posted on EliteTrader forums, where he challenged himself to trade $10,000 on futures and turn it into $100,000 in 6 months.

Among that thread I discovered a few things..

1) He lost 10k in 4 days
2) He wrote off an expensive car (can't remember what type of car)
3) He apparently crashed his new Audi A8 that he claimed to have dropped 100k on
4) Most people who saw his thread considered him a horrible trader

Definition of unsustainable money right there.

He's hustled himself in to a shit sandwich.

I've always enjoyed this particular take on that phrase:

He was the one that said there were FB spies on the forum. Now it looks like they were most likely just following him around.

If this gets picked up by the feds he is looking at at least 1+ years in prison. Who knows how much the feds could inflate damages, I hope he gets a decent lawyer.
