Tracking Facebook traffic

Hello,

Lets say I have a simple website with 3 type of pages - homepage, cart and checkout page. I am selling my own product.

Which tracker should I use? I tried Google Analytics UTM & Facebook tracking, none of these worked. When I have 30 sales, these tools report only 5. The codes are installed correctly!

If there are relevant threads on STM please post a link here, thanks!

Hmm - my normal recommendation here would be Google Analytics.

Do you have any idea why you were getting incorrect reporting? I'd probably suggest spending some time debugging why Analytics wasn't working - it's normally pretty reliable in my experience.

You could also try some rival tracking products - Clicky has a very good reputation ( http://www.getclicky.com )

If you're literally only showing those 3 pages, you could also use an affiliate tracking program like the STM Mobile Tracker, CPVLab, Voluum, et al. You'd set your first page up as the traffic source, linking via the tracking link to the second page (set up as "landing page"), then place an image pixel or postback (with PHP) on the third page.

Thanks

These are 3 types of pages, but there are many pages.

How would I investigate GA tracking problems? Clicky looks really good for $9.99.

If GA isn't performing as expected it's more than likely a problem on your end with deployment... which means that moving to something like Clicky won't necessarily solve all your problems.

I would watch some of the training videos or read the available GA guides to make sure you understand how to set everything up - it is quite a complex system.

Otherwise, you could always hire someone to help your integrate GA tracking properly.
