Hello guys,
Please i need some help to figure out what i did wrong. Imobitrax won't show any conversions neither would Decisive
I have spent $150 (2500 clicks) with no useful data aaarg!
Here is what i did:
http://screencast.com/t/dniC20tDjn4S
so my campaign link is :
htp://mydomain.com/mobitrax./click.php?c=2&key=m1j30rhm5wigy6orh7nz1egs&creativ e=ENTERCREATIVEID
but right its not recording any conversions and either on Decisive or Imobitrax
i went back and read a lot last night and i'm still a bit confused here.
i found the tokens for decisive but i'm not exactly sure how to place them, i really do not wanna mess this up again.
Do i have to use all the tokens here; http://screencast.com/t/HLG7FIuC74 ?
How do i place them properly ?
***Another thing that got me worried was i found this Posted by Ryan of Imobitrax himself because i use Liquidweb too!

iMobiTrax S2S Postback And Liquid Web
Posted by Ryan Gray on 07 January 2014 12:17 AM
We've been made aware of an issue for our customers using Liquid Web. Apparently they have a set of pre-loaded rules for their IP table firewall that is blocking server communication. Therefore when your server to server post back attempts to fire it times out.
If you're having issues with your conversions posting back and you are using Liquid Web, please submit a ticket to their support department and let them know that they need to find the rule that triggered the block and REMOVE it. Additionally, you're going to want to have them whitelist the IP address that triggered the rule.
Unfortunately since iMobiTrax is self hosted we're unable to remove these blocks for you.
Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
Happy tracking,
Ryan Gray & The iMobiTrax Team

I have already written to Liquidweb but i am still not exactly sure how this affects me. I'd really appreciate any help guys.
Thanks.
You don't have to use all the tokens but it is a good idea to use them, too much data won't hurt you
Here is a screenshot showing you how to properly set them up http://prntscr.com/3lh2kx
Paul
Thanks you so much maximallimit.
The reason i asked if we had to use all those tokens is because Imobitrax normally tracks
all those except for the conversion which did not track this time, so i thought i only had to add
{{{bidhash}}} Unique impression ID (Use this to track conversions/actions)
but i noticed in your example above you did not use it....?
Also, the banner names that we will add to the link to track individual creatives ,
must they be in any particular format like ( only numbers or no space or brackets)..?
Thanks for taking the time !
Imobitrax wont track the app/site name without the decisiv token and thats something you want to know, so I strongly suggest to use it.
I'm not using the bidhash token because I dont use their pixel.
The banners will be passed through the creativ {{{creativ_id}}} token so you dont have to add anything else. Just upload the banners and decisiv will give them unique names (letters and numbers) which will be passed to your tracker using the creativ token
Paul
If you want decisive and imobitrax to reconcile conversions then you must pass {{{bidhash}}}.
Configure imobitrax to pass it's clickID to the network, which postback to imobitrax when conversions occur. Then, configure imobitrax to fire back to decisive using the token you passed {{{bidhash}}} under.
As for the LiquidWeb stuff... not sure if that's an issue for you or if your tracking is just misconfigured.
Thanks maximallimit,
I did exactly like you did there and my link here is my camapiagn link :
htp://mydomainname.com/mobitrax/click.php?c=2&key=m1j30rhm5wigy6orh7nz1egs&bidhash ={{{bidhash}}}&site={{{site}}}&app={{{app}}}&categ ory={{{category}}}&placement={{{placement}}}&creat iv={{{creative_id}}}&adid={{{ad_id}}}&device={{{de vice}}}&category={{{category}}}
Is that how its supposed to Be...?
Please where do id put the Id name and Creative name...?
Thanks, really appreciate it.
Thanks Zeno,
I only saw your your post after i made my last post above (prolly diff time zones in effect here)
Still truggling to understand techy language , I followed your advice http://screencast.com/t/2b0WhAQy
and
here is the final campaign link i got:
htp://mydomainname.com/mobitrax/click.php?c=2&key=m1j30rhm5wigy6orh7nz1egs&bidhash ={{{bidhash}}}&site={{{site}}}&app={{{app}}}&categ ory={{{category}}}&placement={{{placement}}}&creat iv={{{creative_id}}}&adid={{{ad_id}}}&device={{{de vice}}}&category={{{category}}}
- Do i have to manually enter the creatiive id in those brackets...?
- Or should i just leave it as it is ...?
Thanks guys.
as is my man! you should just enter that link in decisive, as long as you dont actually have those spaces in your link...
ie. &creat iv={{{creative_id}}}&adid={{{ad_id}}}&device={{{de vice}}}
there should be no spaces.. you either copied it wrong, or entered in imobitrax wrong...
Why do you have spaces in ur url? You have one after bidhash= , &categ ory=, creat iv=. If you want spaces use _ as you did with ad_id
Never tested to see if it will work with them but seems like a bad idea as spaces get encoded by browser.
edit: opps took a minute to make something to eat and beat me too it.
Note: the spaces are erroneously added by the forum - something about long strings of text and curly brackets makes Vbulletin do this.
So, if you see weird spaces, they probably aren't there in the original post and editing them doesn't seem to fix it.
Gotcha Zeno. I went back to check every link, then i saw your post
I hope i got it right this time, i'll wait for Decisive to approve and i'll know for sure after some traffic.
You guys are legends, Thanks !
O.M.G i am officially in the shit ....
Imobitrax won't record any conversions still, damn almost $300 spent and nothing to show for arrg!
I don't know what to do right now. This is my exact link, i made sure there is no space but somehow
Imobitrax still won't track conversions :
http://screencast.com/t/PTynTyFig
This is what Decisive had to say:
************************************************** *******************
Hi Valery!
It sounds like the problem maybe with the conversion postback for the tracker and Decisive that you put into your network platform.
That may be a good place to start.
************************************************** *************
I used iMobiTrax Global Server to Server Postback: http://screencast.com/t/RgKCtZbw1Hc
and i added #s2# which i then added to cake postback.
* Did i do that right ...?
i followed Medhi's guide here:
http://www.richgandhi.com/how-to-set...lab-imobitrax/
Please somebody help...?
What does your offer link look like?
You will need to pass imobitrax's unique click ID in the offer URL, I'm not sure how you set this up as I don't use imobitrax.
In your network, if you look at your click data, can you see these unique IDs coming through?
If so, your postback is likely the problem.
It should be hxxp://something.com/mobitrax/track.php?subid=#s2# (if using Cake marketing platform).
Then in imobitrax you will need to have Decisives postback configured somewhere so that imobitrax 'passes the baton' when a conversion happens.
Anyway, you've spent $300 - but regardless of tracking, have you made any revenue?
yeah i made $35 back but no data to use .
From your example my postback to cake looks alright: http://lalalalamedia.com/mobitrax/track.php?subid=#s2#
Edit I just spoke to Imobitrax support now and they say postback for Cake should be #s1#
I was also wondering if its possible to recover the data and conversions, i don't know if that is possible but i found this
looks like the same thing i am talking about
"you can take the converting subids and just upload them under the Subid Update tab in iMobi. Pixels don't always fire, so know that you can do that and still track conversions "
Yes, the subid update would do that for you. You just need to export the relevant click report from Cake, open the Excel file up and copy/paste just the converted click IDs.
Also, you should not pass unique click IDs as s1.
Rather than changing your postback, change your affiliate network URL in imobitrax so the click ID gets passed as s2.
I don't use iMobiTrax either, but I'd be very surprised if the appropriate subid for Cake was S1. Usually that's reserved for non-unique subids, which won't give you postback information.
How have you formatted your offer URL?
You should indeed be able to upload subids. Get a report from your affiliate network (under Reports, then the Conversions tab) and you can upload the subids to iMobiTrax. You're looking for the unique subids, probably numerical.
Thanks Zeno ,
I found Medhi's blogg and he explained how he does it (Just like Zeno says above) it so i just followed his example.
Its a video tutorial so it was easy to follow. Then i copied the subid's mannaully from clickdealer and everything now looks alright.
I'll just explain what i did, might be helpful to someone. so basically from what Imobitrax is saying,
is your offer link has to be compatible with your postback link for it to track and postback conversions
to Imobitrax successfully properly. So for example :
offer link: http://lalalala.com/?a=15821&c=62620&s1=
post back should end https://domain.com/track.php?subid=#s1#
for imobitrax to succesfully postback conversioms from network.
a few other random examples examples
offer: http://lalalala.com/?a=15821&c=62620&s2=
Postback: https://domain.com/track.php?subid=#s2#
offer: https://go.leadforce.net/aff_c?offer..._id=1&aff_sub=
Postback: https://domain.com/track.php?subid={aff_sub}
offer: https://go.leadforce.net/aff_c?offer..._id=1&aff_sub2
Postback: https://domain.com/track.php?subid={aff_sub2}
The Problem i had was that, though the offer from my network ended with s1, Clickdealer use cake, which only allows #s2#
so i simply followed a modification i got from Medhi's blogg here http://www.richgandhi.com/how-to-set...lab-imobitrax/
and modified the my offer link from
http://lalalala.com/?a=15821&c=62620&s1=
To
http://lalalala.com/?a=15821&c=62620&s1=Dsv&s2
**(Dsv = Decisive) traffic Source.
Thanks.
The offer URLs networks give you will always end with the first subid only, unless you have manually added the others. This is just for simplicities sake.
If it ends with '&s1=' you can likely do &s1=this&s2=that&s3=them&s4=what&s5=why
Same with aff_sub, aff_sub2, etc. It's up to you to know what your network links allow and to configure iMobitrax appropriately.
There is not difference between these ids other than that you shouldn't pass unique click IDs under s1, subid1, aff_sub1, etc., due to how reports are often displayed at the network.
Note you don't need to include s1 if you don't want to. It would be silly not to put something here, but you could have a=1234&c=5678&s2=subid_here
Now that i managed to fix this tracking issue, trying to make some sense out of the data i got to decide whether to drop this offer or continue.
but still learning the ropes with all of this and i will like to solicit the eyes of you experienced big bros out there
to confirm if i am on the right track with my thinking ! Here is it

Decisive stats: http://screencast.com/t/AcYefcRX0YJB
Imobitrax:
http://screencast.com/t/O1kH1CAxy
At first look at my data i thought it was disaster starting but after going through some follow along threads i realised i probably paid too much for
the data i got. I started bidding 0.8 cpm, then reduced to 0.5, 0.35 and then 0.3 so average
cpc (cost/clicks) was 0.054.
My current stats:
Anti Virus
total cost: 217.76
clicks: 4032
conversions: 16
cpc: 0.054
Revenue: $41.25
Profit/Loss:
(41.25-217.76) $176.51 = 82%
If my cpc was $0.025, which i think is possible then ROI would be
-58%
and given that i have not done any optimization what so ever or cut anything yet and also using my own
amateur banners without translation in an Asian country and direct linking . Should drop the offer or should i have another go...?
Well... I would translate banners first and try several angles. There could be a profitable campaign in there but you limit your chances of finding it by not testing landers and local languages.
I'd definitely agree with Zeno. In particular, the language barrier is a huge deal.
