REQUEST: How about a LP guide?

Hey

I have been struggling with creating landing pages that have a high CTR and CR. The highest CTR I have been able to achieve is 10%. I see affs posting here that they are getting 30%,40%+ easily. I would be very grateful if someone could post a mini guide or some sort. Maybe it has been done already, I just can't find it among the hundreds of threads

It carries the style of the ad copy which gets high CTRs but the LP CTR is terrible. I have been experimenting but I have not been able to get anywhere near 40%.

Do you mean a guide to creating mobile landing pages specifically, or to creating high CTR mobile landers?

The latter is really up to your creativity, ad copy and technical prowess - I don't think we could really do a universal guide to this as it's so dependent on the vertical, offer (especially CVR...), traffic source, angle and so on.

What is your typical process for creating a mobile lander?

For the example you gave, I can see any number of reasons why it might not work well... the primary one for me is that there is no ad copy at all.

It just says "Your Device may potentially have a virus". So? Besides the fact I have been told this 50x already this week, why does that mean I should click this button? What would clicking give me here? Also, the header is not centered, which looks odd.

Those types of landers my have converted well for others but that is hugely influenced by ads, angles, traffic source, freshness and so on.

I have also been wondering about LP advice, as my LPs suck too.

I've read all the threads zeno linked here. I've also tried a range of LP styles/classes. So far all have sucked on both CTR and CVR.

Could anyone give any mobile app install specific LP advice to boost CVR/CTR please?

Also would this advice change for lower payout offers compared to higher payout offers?

I'll be blunt which will hopefully help you get a higher CTR on your pages in the future.

You're page is boring and bland. It looks only slightly authentic, has no urgency on it what so ever, and I'd close it pretty fast.
The last 2 threds Zeno posted will help you a LOT!

I'll give you some tips based on the anti-virus niche:
*There's lots of different types of pages that do well (mix and match some concepts below)
- Make the page look SERIOUS and URGENT.. like there's a SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!!
- Make a fake scanner that shows possible threats
- Name real viruses that have existed and what they can do to phones
- Show error screens
- Maybe make your whole page shake
- Image if the page fell apart like the matrix (i'm just thinking out loud here)

See where i'm going with all of this, test some crazy shit and you'll see some crazy CTRs!

I'm not sure what landers you have tried, but if you read those threads you should be able to at least generate "non sucky" CTRs. What CTRs are you getting? What country? What type of traffic?

As soon as we start talking about CRs then you have to look at the targeting, creatives and offer.

But that landing page still only gets <2% CTR!

In my opinion the page looks professional, it has the word "Free" in it, animated button, arrow, short & clear message, urgency is conveyed yet the CTR is still less than 2%! I guess I'll just have to find a brand new angle.

I don't see why you need to be stuck on lp ctr, be stuck on how your campaign is converting. The same low lp CTR you are complaining about could mean 100% conversions depending on the vertical.

My #1 suggestion would be "less words". I know it doesn't seem like you have a lot, but even so - less.

Mobile landers seem to work well - for me at least, and I wouldn't claim to be a master of the form yet - with very minimal verbiage.
