Since we don't have a forum dedicated to mobile traffic (admob, inmobi, offermobi etc.) I will ask the question in the basic affiliate marketing forum
What kind of CTR is acceptable on admob? Running a dating campaign in the UK using admob and got these stats so far:
Ad 1
Impr: 20,856
Clicks: 107
CTR: 0.51%
Spent: $8.88
Ad 2
Impr: 4,042
Clicks: 16
CTR: 0.4%
Spent: $1.04
So far it's profitable but still waiting to get the leads approved...Just wondering what CTR is in a range of "good".
wayyy to out your campaign dude...
CTRs do vary by network and campaign type but typically they call in that range. If you can get it near 1% you'll be a killer.
Admob has a ton of traffic if its profitable hit it hard.
I've had 1.5-1.7% CTRs on some of my tests. There is a huge room for improvement on your side in terms of CTR.
1) .5 is about average & acceptable on mobile, though you definitely want to try and improve it. The higher your CTR, the more impressions they'll give you. Once your CTR drops...you get nothing.
2) If it starts dropping below that, start rotating banners by adding new ads to your ad group, pausing the older banners and running the new ones a while...then switching back. 2-4 weeks should work, depending on your volume / other people running the same offer.
Running the same burnt-out banner in a new ad will usually give you higher CTR at first...
3) If you haven't tested text ads, make sure you do...some handsets / carriers get better CTR with text ads than they do banner ads.
Liane... good to see you on here, I miss the weekly calls you used to have
Nice info Liane!
Thanks a bunch guys. I recently added another campaign but this time running a fb app through admob. No idea if I should do this or not I just want to test it. CTR so far about 1.83% (931 Imps/ 17 Clicks, no conversions). Maybe apps don't work that well on mobile devices so I will let this campaign run one day more :-)
speaking of mobile, let's get a dedicated section to it
Alright, some more stats for the facebook app install campaign. CTR dropped down to 0.92% and I got some conversions. See the stats below:
CTR: 0.92%
Conversions: 10
Spent: $30.30
Revenue: $28
I try to scale and add more age groups as I onle run males aged 25-34, so let's see
