How to Find High CTR images?

I see a high CTR is the key ingredient to a profitable campaign. I've been testing some images, but still no results.

Any advice on how to find high CTR images?

There's no secret to finding high CTR images... more precisely the CTR an ad get depends on so many factors other than than the image.

What traffic source? Vertical? What's the demographic? What are you advertising? What's your angle?

You could take a zomgwtf image from one campaign and it might flop on another.

Really just be creative. Photoshop things, search for crazy images to use if they are relevant - use Google, Bing, MGID, Worth1000, FreakingNews, etc.

Appeal to the demographic's interests, their sense of curiosity, and test a lot. Images are a lot like ad copy.

I would be interested in any suggestions too. I've just started using the enhance and colour balance within Gimp/Photoshop (as suggested by Caurmen and Zeno) to improve CTR in POF. However, I'm sure there is more to it than just that. Maybe someone could share what is their "go to" tip?

Just keep testing and tweaking images. There is no silver bullet here. You'll hear how different effects boost CTR. It's true, but not a rule. It will work with some images but then flop completely with the next batch. Like zeno said above - images are just a piece of the puzzle.

This is an oldie but a goodie on the Photoshopping front: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...for-Higher-CTR

Also, if you're using very professional images, it's often worth "amateuring" them up a bit: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...e-Amateur-Pics

Best is to right click and save as you travel around the internet and see things a lot of times. Build a swipe file of stuff that has worked for others over the years.
