Does anyone here do business with Buzzcity? (14)

Does anyone here do business with Buzzcity?

I funded Buzzcity a couple years back and didn't touch it.

Was trying to set up some new campaigns with them last week and was told that they've "closed the books" and thus I've lost all the funds, which was appalling IMO.

Even Trafficvance which is a kind of PITA doesn't do that; they require me to email them to re-activate the accounts, but simply making a profit from my deposit isn't cool at all.

Leadimpact did this to me over a couple hundred bucks and I couldn't really be bothered with it but to hear that Buzzcity, a company from my very own country is doing this really does piss me off.

Does anyone know a rep I can talk to who might be able to make a decision on this?

That sucks to hear man! I'll PM you my rep at buzzcity. Not sure is she can help you with this though but worth a shot. How big amounts are we talking?

My rep warned me about this a few months ago " Please note that funds are removed if they remain unutilised on accounts for over 180 days."

Good luck.

That really sucks man. I hope they find some way to help you.

I haven't gone 180 days without using Buzz, but i agree that's total shit.

You could try saying it's essentially stealing and your happy to fund your account with $xxxx if they don't go taking inactive money and agree to refund the amount they took, otherwise they've lost your business forever.

It's not a big amount to be honest but yeah it's the fact that they are literally stealing the money that really sucks.

Are there any reps on this forum who care about their own reputation at all?

I mean if nobody finds out etc and they quietly swallow the money then I guess it still makes some business sense.

But to have a pub outright asking for the money back and responding with "terms and conditions" and expecting me to accept all that nonsense, especially knowing there is potential for me to spend waaaaaay over the puny amount of money we're talking about here, is simply not business-savvy at all IMO.

Which country are you in?

I'd recommend looking into small claims courts. It might not be worth it from a pure ROI point of view, but if you don't want to let them get away with it small claims courts are likely to be a low-cost approach to take.

If you fund with Paypal or a Credit Card you should have no problems getting your money back.

Just report it as fraud (which is what it is)

I like this answer

^ I don't think he can do that if he did the funding years ago like he said.

However what they are doing is basically stealing money. I can't think of a valid reason for just taking your money like that.

If I were you I would point them to this thread so they will know they are potentially losing a lot of money just for saving pennies.

Yeah I don't want this matter to blow up to be honest, it's just $500 lol but it just makes zero sense and makes me angry.

Besmir I'm going to take your advice and point them to this thread.

Are there any Buzzcity reps on this forum though, just curious?

^ It deserves to blow up.

$500 or $5000, doesn't really matter.

As the others have said -- it's stealing.

It's these little gestures that add up to a massive negative shitstorm for a brand.

I logged in to Clickbank a few months ago, for the first time in about a year, only to find that my outstanding balance of commission owed had been slowly chomped away by monthly inactivity charges. I was going to promote a CB product, but it pissed me off to such an extent that I went elsewhere.

Penny pinching drives me insane.

And I'd call $500 slightly more than penny pinching!

It's bizarre - maybe someone with more experience in the ad tech area can chime in, but why is there any reason for CB to decay stagnant revenue? Does it cost them something to have digital revenue sitting in your account? Is it just a tactic to slowly bleed people to reduce the number of small transfers happening?
