First(-ish) Facebook campaign - ~$1,500 profits, ~90% ROI
What's up folks! Just want to say hello to STM and introduce myself. I actually joined sometime last year after Glenn (Viperchill) recommended the forum through his PPC case study, but I didn't do anything as I was strictly doing SEO back then and ended up canceling.
Decided to rejoin after my first hurrah using Teespring + Facebook resulted in a campaign with ~90% ROI!

Gotta say, not so bad for my first attempt! I actually had 2 or 3 other designs that flopped -- they had a couple of sales but the ads cost too much. When this one started taking off I just paused everything to concentrate on this since I'm a total newbie to Facebook advertising. Learned A LOT in the past couple of weeks, that's for sure!
I really do believe I made quite a lot of mistakes here, mostly with the advertising -- wasted like $40-50 on mobile ads that didn't convert a single click, continued to run campaigns I was emotionally attached to, etc. Getting much better with experience though, and my current campaign is already at 101% ROI after a day or two. I'll also be relaunching this campaign and trying out some new stuff.
Basically joined STM to learn more about Facebook advertising (and share what I've learned too, along the way) and socialize with people who are making much more dough than I am

Re: hangman' question, I got a PM from someone that I'll answer in one go. Best tip I have is to use really precise interest targeting. I did use one custom audience but it was a really small group - probably less than 10% of the total reach.
