-70+% how should i optimise?

hi guys. need some help from the season STMers!
i'm currently working on a $0.50 app install offer targetting a non-eng country that i'm pretty familiar with. decided to go with 3 angles 3banners each.

i ran 3 campaigns, wifi(wanted to split them up but didn't by mistake), carrier/site and carrier traffic, i got 1 campaign running at -70% ROI so i kept that and cut out 2 other campaigns at close to -100% after $15 of spending.

noticed that 1 angle is doing alot better than the others, 3 out of 4 top converting banners were from this angle, they weren't profitable but siginifcantly better than the rest. so after the two optimisations, i should get much improved ROI.

i next decided to keep the "top performing" banners and create more banners from the "winning" angle.
i also split up the WIFI group up into wifi/site and wifi/app but i ran into this "epic bad CTR bad CVR" day where i just had horrible stats all round.
so i decided to try this angle again and give it another go but this time with landers.

halfway through running this campaign today, i decided to pause after 1365 clicks and 11conversions @ -80% ROI.
the lander had 696 views, 7 conversions at -70% roi and cv of 1.01%. for me to breakeven, i would need a cv of 4%. how can i optimise my offer? i've been proactively cutting pubs along the way. and looking through handsets, browesers, etc, i cant see anything reasonable that i should be cutting.

1)what should i do in this spot? my landers and angles are the best they can be (ok maybe someone needs to smack me here) not sure how i can really better them. next is probably the traffic source? not sure what else i can improve on
2) the main bait in this case is the lander, so if its creatives is hould tweak, it should be landers rather than banners? my bids are based on CPC so i cant exactly lower costs much further.

I'd strongly recommend trying more angles and more offers at this point. -70% is a bit challenging to optimise from.

Have you been direct-linking too to compare offer conversion rates? Low-payout offers will sometimes do better direct-linked.

AGREED! Just mentioned this in another thread... When you're at such a low ROI off the bat its time to try new angles/concepts for the campaign, THEN go about optimizing when you hit an initial higher ROI off the bat.

Definitely the 2 above comments are spot on, tweaking your lander/angle for your mobile camp is far more effective then just cutting carriers/handsets which severely limit your traffic. Come in hot with a new angle, keep on testing new ideas, you may have to go through a few angles, but one might land you -10% ROI off the bat, or maybe even profit. Then you can begin to scale up, cull the nil converting carriers and handsets but if some are converting, keep them on and just continue to tweak out your lander on volume for ROI increasing

= Large Large mobile profits
