Paused my adwords campaigns last week. Log in Today, and unpaused?
So, I am little bit depressed this morning. Last week i was running a few campaigns on adwords, they weren't converting well. So, I paused all of them, and went back to facebook. I decided to run another offer on adwords today. So, when I log in to my adwords account this morning all the campaigns are running, and I've ran up about 1.5k on there in the 7days.
I know for a fact I paused them because I double check always. I didn't use the editor software either. Do you guys know of something like this happening before? Can it really be user error, or is google error? I'm not really sure what do? The worse part, the ads converted really really really crappy. It checked the history and it says that I changed it in the middle of the night, see I know it wasn't me, because I would of been sleeping at that time. 
I would get in touch with Google support and just tell them what has happened...
You paused campaigns > clearly in the logs.
The campaigns reactivated without my knowledge, no one else has account access > show that in logs is a time when you are literally asleep.
Ask for the charges to be reimbursed.
Hey Zeno. So, I did that via google adwords support chat, and they said all they can do is escalate it to see if I can get any credits, but a reimbursement will not be possible.
I'm going to call in tomorrow instead of chat, and see if I can possible get a different answer, because credit is crap to me as I don't know if I even want to do adwords anymore. Mobile and Facebook is my focus anyways. Lesson learned, I guess.

This happened to me once, ran up over $500 worth of traffic to a domain that wasn't even active anymore so it all just went to a 404, almost positive I paused it, but maybe I had a brain fart and I don't remember so I just deleted the campaigns and kept it moving...are you positive you paused it, or is it possible on the last day it was paused because it met its budget and you didn't actually pause it yourself, so it just restarted the next day? That's what I tell myself happened because I figure if this was a thing Google does, there would be a lot of noise about it.
Dude I specifically remember pausing the campaign because the offer was not converting at all, so, I didn't even want to optimize it. I double checked everything was paused, and felt reassured. So, I never logged back on adwords for a week at least. I guess it still could of been my fault somewhere, but it's one of those things that I'm going to have to deal with, and I am for sure not using adwords anytime soon.
