So I set duplicate Ads with different spends which were all approved one hour ago.
10.00 FB set it to 12.93 (spent nothing)
20.00 FB set it to 6.47 (spent nothing)
500.00 FB set it to 322.29 (Spent the Full 322.29 in less than one hour)
200.00 FB set it to 129.08 (Spent the Full 129.08 in less than one hour)
If you look at my data you see im averaging .04 clicks on the ad I replicated. I was trying to see the difference of bumpin the spend on the high and low side to see if I could get cheaper clicks. I was going to check back in an hour and kill ads that the cost was to high on thinking at max it would have spent 50.00 in that hour. It spent EVERYTHING on the 500 and 200 limit camps and did not spend a dime on the low limit camps.
Here is the screen shot..... Notice the time of start date 8:30AM and the Current Time An hour later.

The pic loads a little small, can't see the details. Are the camps oCPM or CPC? This happens to me when I dupe oCPM ads, but only during certain times of the day in my targeted geo. Makes me wonder if there's even a method to the madness, as FB's spend seems to be so random sometimes.
They are Ocpm ads
Not sure how to get the photo to upload larger

I think I figured it out..... I went to duplicate the ad again and noticed that facebook has me at Bidding for Website Clicks (Never seen that before) there was no way to put a bid in so I submitted the ad and then went to power edit to change the bid only to see there was no tab for BIDDING FOR WEBSITE CLICKS so I could not have even changed it. I assume FB put a default bid of 5.00 like they do on CPM on Power edit which is why it just burned my entire budget in one hour.
This clicks to website thing is pretty neat! I hope they work it out so I can actually bid on the clicks

I know uploading upside down and sideways can increase CTR but you should add a border too.
But yeah, that sucks dude; I didn't get burned like this, but I have noticed weird things with FB's tabs for 'bidding for clicks' conversions, between adverts and campaign levels.
lovin your micro screenshot there jason ...and the upside down ones
when in doubt just upload to imgur and paste the image links in tags.

remove periods.
I am appalled at those literal screenshots, rofl.
Bid for website clicks has always been there... it is just CPC
On the other hand when you bid oCPM, you can optimise for website clicks or actions, page likes etc and this just changes the weighting of the algorithm - this is where you set $5 toward clicks, $30 toward actions, etc. You obviously don't pay anywhere near these at the end of the day.
This behaviour isn't particularly surprising.
High budget oCPM campaign, started 8+ hours after midnight, likely to a broad demo. If the ads did well FB would feed them well and this results in a large burst of expenditure.
definitely some screwy stuff going on...had two cpc campaigns get 0 impressions yesterday until mid/late-day then randomly decide to play catch-up and blow through 2/3 of the budget
