Is 'What Runs Where' a good idea to use for a newbie?

Hi all,

I am totally fresh and I just introduced myself. Maybe it is written somwhere, but I can't find it yet.

For now, we decided to do mobile adds, on f5 media, and start with decisive.is, vertical still to choose.

Now, we heard that What Runs Where does not do 'affiliate stuff'? Therefore not so good?

However, as far as I can understand is, there are some pro's:
- You can download banners, so it makes the inspiration euhm easier.
- You can see what trafic sources are usually good.
- You can see what type of adds perform reasonably well.

Therefore, what do you guys rommend, use of not to use?

Thanks

p.s. does it also spy adult adds?

What runs where is good. You just need mobile package.

Never tried it for mobile.

But yeah, it's great for newbies that want to have
a clue about what works and what doesn't works.

Yep, I'd definitely recommend having a look at WhatRunsWhere. It won't show you any landing pages, which are a big part of the puzzle, but it's great for getting a general feel of the landscape and what's out there.

It does pick up quite a lot of things that look suspiciously like affiliate banners too, so you won't just see brand stuff.
