Finding reputable affiliate networks running cake

Is there some kind of search I can do to find out the networks running cake? I can then use that list to pare down. I am asking about companies besides A4D who are great.

Not that I know of. Why Cake? I like Cake more than other platforms but I am critical of it's performance.

Just run geographic speed testing i.e. parse the tracking URL from different countries and you'll be disappointed.

Cake is not scalable. They had several issues scaling in beginning due to bad architectural design. I personally consider has offer to be superior atleast at serving clicks with fastest response time.

Do you know where their datacentres are? I did some geographic testing and was pretty disappointed, looked like they had US and UK servers and that was it.

What server do you like?

The reason for cake is I am most familiar with it and everytime I have to try a new system it is annoying since the AM has no clue how to make it work wtih CPVlabs. Apparently unlike most techonlogy AM is a very undocumented world.

Examples include Hitpath, Direct Track.

I rather learn one system has has great penetration into the market.

I am already working with A4D. Do you know if those other companies have games by any chance?

Hmm the thing there is... tracking systems are not particularly different and it is your job to understand how to get everything with those working properly, not theirs - you are the one using it after all.

Postback tracking is generally easy and self-service.

For other tracking issues the best approach is for you to understand 100% what needs to be done and just hand it to your AM... e.g. here is this iFrame pixel, I need it placed on the conversion page, or please place X postback URL globally, etc.

Cake works just like any other network's system when it comes to postbacks but there are a couple things to keep in mind.
1. in cake you can only place pixels locally, you affiliate manager must place them globally for you.
2. You can only have 1 global postback, as well as 1 local for each offer
3. Cake cannot take dynamic tokens via s1, only static variables. All dynamic tokens must be passed through s2-s5 and this would include the clickid you're passing to get the postback tracking.

CPV LAB && CAKE Postback>>
Please append s2={subid} to the end of the F5 Unique Links, and place that complete link in your cpvlab. http://F5MEDIA.com/?a=XXXXXX&c=XXXXX&s2={subid}
Please make sure you enable “append subid to offer” when setting up links in CPV. http://screencast.com/t/CHQKkjjake
Please append subid=#s2# to your postback pixel to enable the subid. http://yourtracker.com/adclick.php?subid=#s2#

For future reference - for anyone looking to integrate their postback with a cake system >> USE THIS GUIDE

with setting up postbacks/URL's, once you figured out the basics, its pretty easy to figure out regardless of tracker used or platform.

that would be the last thing I would consider when picking a network to work with

it would be like buying a car based on the air freshener scent hanging off the rear view mirror

Pretty much.

Postback URLs are the equivalent of spoons. Figure out how they work -> who cares the size/colour of the spoon, it always works the same way.

That's my AM <-> RL analogy for the day.
