I'm currently promoting a landing page with a Step 1 and Step 2 offer on it. The user typically purchases the step 1 offer and then on the checkout page, they are automatically "upsold" for step 2. This step 2 upsell converts quite a bit, in the neighborhood of 70%, but I am missing almost all of my step 2 conversions. I would say that CPV is registering close to 100% of my step 1 sales but only about 15% of my step 2 sales. I have a multiple offer campaign set up in CPV with the following postback pixels placed on the network (running Hitpath)
Step 1 offer postback pixel: https://mytracker.com/adclickf.php?o...6&subid=xxc1xx
Step 2 offer postback pixel: https://mytracker.com/adclickf.php?o...8&subid=xxc1xx
The offer ID for these 2 offers in my campaign is obv 6 and 8 and the campaign id is 36
At first I thought the problem was that a click was not registered for step 2 because the user is auto upsold. I then tried adding another pixel to step 1...
Step 1 offer pixel #2 (iframe pixel this time): https://mytracker.com/base2.php?id=2
This 2nd pixel on step 1 did not solve my problem. Both pixels are definitely working. As I said, almost all of my Step 1's register but only about 15% of my step 2 conversions. Any advice would be appreciated.
Here is the thing cus I've been in the same situation before, I was running big 2 trial campaigns with PPV a skin care with 1 click upsell and a diet with 1 click upsell and when I was checking the upsell subids for the step2 I found it's identical to some of the converted subids for step 1 and it makes sense cus basically it's the same person purchasing 2 different things so I had a hell of a problem which is how to optimize if for example I have one keywords spent 50 - 60 dollars with one sale on this keywords so in CPVLab side it looks like you're losing money on that keyboard so I had to come up with something to optimize properly ... anyways You should just pick the duplicate subids and update them manually inside CPVLab but this time you'll add the subid like this ( subid|payout ) for example ( subid|81 ).. This way you're adding the subid and letting CPVLab give you 81 dollars for this specific visitor instead of 40.5.
Seems like lots of people are having interesting challenges with CPV Lab lately.
I'll give my stock suggestion: have you contacted CPV Lab support? They know their product better than any of us.
It's with Prosper too. The 1-click upsell offers are a pain. You need to import subids into CPV/Prosper for it to register stats correctly. I don't think there's a way to fix the postback situation.
Aha! You actually can do this with CPVLab, if I understand your needs correctly.

It's pretty much the same thing I've done which is uploading the SUBIDs with more than 1 conversion and doing the payout manually SUBID|Total Commission. It's not the best way to do it but that's how I do it with CPVLab.
yea that's a bummer. well thanks anyway for the help.
