How to improve average position on bing?

Hey guys,

I've been receiving a good amount of impressions to my campaign on Bing but my average ad position is about 10. I set my cpc pretty high and the little amount of clicks that I have received so far cost a lot less then the cpc amount I bid on so I doubt the low average position has anything to do with my bid.

Can anyone give any suggestions on how to raise my average position on Bing?

Thanks in advance

Try and refine your ad groups so that the ads and keywords are grouped together closely. Apart from bidding higher you generally need the search term to appear in the headline of the ad and once in the body. This should improve ctr. Also make sure the landing page/s are targeted to your keywords.

All pretty obvious but it can make a huge difference.

At the most basic level, either higher bids or higher click through rates.

Hey guys, that for the replies. I upped my bids even more and tried to match and got the search terms to match the ads and landing pages.

Only problem I have with this is that I have a lot of keywords and not all of the search terms will match the ad and landing page so I'll have to test a few and see what happens.

Quick update, my average position jumped from 10 to 7 after upping my bid. Happy to see this increase in position as I am also not paying much per click.

This will help big time. It's called "quality score" and you either increase your ranking by increaseing your QS or your bid.

Think of it like QS x bid = placement.

5 QS x $0.50 bid = placement
0.5 QS x $5 bid = placement

So in the above example, placement is the same score but the higher QS will show up higher b/c more emphasis is placed on user experience.

Ok so if I understand correctly, I should make different landing pages for different groups of keywords. That way each landing page is targeted to each group of keywords?

Sorry if im not explaining myself properly.
