Is email submits really a good way to get started?

Hello everyone,
I received an email the other day statting that email submits was an easy and cheap way to get started. What are your thoughts on that and does it still work? Do you have any Getting started guides?
Appriciate every pointers and all the feedback you guys can give me.

They still work... but email submits are notorious for scrubbing and they can get saturated quickly.

I wouldn't recommend starting with them... you will no doubt start pulling your hair out when a campaign drops from 50% ROI to 5% overnight for no reason.

If you were to do them I would go for traffic sources like PPV and ZeroPark.

You could go for lead gen offers instead that require submission of a bit more info than just email but are generally better quality offers. E.g. ActiveYou (mobile) would be a good place to start if you want to also explore mobile - though I'm not sure how well this offer is doing now.

They do have a gazillion different landers which opens up a huge number of angles you could explore.

Note, don't try to run email submits on FB, easy way to get burned as a newbie.

I agree with Zeno.

Email submits are not as good as they look. They lure you in with high conversion rates for the first few leads, then it goes downhill fast from there.

Which email did you read out of curiosity?

They scrub so hard its not even funny, Bbrock23 did a test here showing his own funnel as an exact copy vs the leads of the email submit and its pretty atrocious I wouldn't go that route anymore to begin with.

POF has to be one of the best places to begin, as you can test with low budgets, you have a plethora of targeting options to play around with, it teaches you ad creation, landers, optimisation, bidding etc just a great place to get your feet wet and build your budget to the bigger beasts out there

Not all email submits are scam. It just depends on your per email lead quality. Heck still its lots of work for advertiser to award each affiliate his real worth.
