Gaming app creatives - best way to promote?

Hello Stackers,

Going to promote gaming apps, however my main issue is that all offers require creative approval from the advertiser.
I have tried to spy using WhatRunsWhere trial and installing free apps - however I always come across generic creatives, never anything from an affiliate.

So the main point of this post is to try and figure out the boundaries and possibly get some hints about what works.

Going to Mr.Green's thread (http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Mobile-Banner)
How many advertisers are going to let you use material from other games?

What headlines do they accept?
e.g. Play Clash of Clans? This game is better

Each advertiser has different rules mate.

Just spend an hour creating a bunch of ads from generic to "risky". You will get your answer a lot faster that way.

Try text only ads. Try using their own buttons and icons.

Typically really brand heavy creatives like these don't perform well.

Another way of approaching it is saying to the advertiser, I can do "X" more leads a day with this type of creative compared with the stock type creatives. That might make them a bit more flexible.

Just make a large mix of banners and send them all in.

The advertiser will have some rep go through and say yes, yes, yes, no, no, yes, yes, hell no!

Find out what the advertiser doesn't like and try to come to some middle ground on your more risky creatives.

Also, be thankful if you can actually get advertiser approval! Some networks have tonnes of gaming apps but are aimed at pubs who will just use stock banners on some widget placed on their site... having an actual line of communication to the advertiser is a bonus!
