Adwords Experts - Any idea how to solve this problem?

Problem: We cannot get any volume going at all, google says our account is in perfect standing. They don't know what is going on.

What happens: We bid $1 CPC, no freq cap, GDN, $1k daily spend and get like 18,000 impressions on a banner with 1.2% CTR in a country where previously we'd bid 2 cents and get like 20k clicks in 1 day on average.

Background: MCC account, been through many manual reviews, all was ok always, spent dozens of hours on the phone with google reps, etc.

How would you solve this problem?

Step 1. Pause your campaigns.

Step 2. Pay a friend or an agency to run something extremely similar at $1 CPC on their account and see if their volumes are similar to yours.

Step 3.

a. If yes, the issue has nothing to do with your account.

b. If no, your account is the problem

Sounds like something in your account history is triggering it. Only way to be sure is to export the whole thing into a new account (different cr card etc) and run it and see what happens to the volume. Total pain in the ass but if it gets your traffic back its time well spent.

I'm pretty sure the reps you get on the phone are totally separate from the people who slap accounts and campaigns. I've been in a similar situation and finally asked the rep to go the other department and see if they had done something to the account. The next day he stopped returning my calls and the account was banned completely.

If it doesn't clear up soon, leave it running, check it from time to time but definitely get another account.

Your account is probably fine - at the account level, but I bet you're getting blocked at the publisher/app level. I know that Adsense publishers can block third-party ad networks and block certain ads via the Ad Review center, and Admob publishers have the ability to moderate the ads displayed in their apps in a number of different ways.

Admob publishers can block advertisers by URL, Block by general category, and Block by senstive category (which includes Ringtones & Downloadables, Video Games).

Also, how long have you let these ad groups run? Are you specifically targeting certains apps/placements?

Admob pubs can enable a setting in the Ad Review Center that will hold new ads targeted for specific placements/apps for 24 hours so that the pub has to manually review them before they will display, or if 24 hours passes - they start showing automatically.

Are you seeing impressions increase as the ad group runs, or any kind of bump after 24hrs?

Also, Admob pubs can block ads by Adwords account. So, I would almost bet that if you were running banners that got caught up in the recent Google Play Store Dev policy change - that a lot of panicking Admob pubs starting banning ads, and banning ads by Adwords account.

Ive been running these ads for 20 days and it never goes beyond 100 to 200k impressions in 24 hrs ever.

I tried setting up the banners that they approved in another adwords account only to have them disapproved.

Im running cm... others i know are too and getting volume.. or they are lying..
