Is This Compliant?

Hey guys,

Nowhere have I seen it's not but I want to ask here.

We have our own Teeth Whitening product (non rebill and non peroxide based), I wondered if facebook allows this on their platform?

Any help appreciated,

Regards

Sure I don't think it should be an issue. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with teeth whitening. Marketing and claims could be another story. But the vertical itself I dont' think is problematic

Cheers dude, yeah I wanted to check as there are laws down as to what you can sell in regards to peroxide levels etc

Cheers for the feedback mate

I think you'd be well served to avoid the old-style photos though. The teeth with clamps on them and extreme closeups of braces and dental work could cause problems and get you lumped in with the old rebill crowd.

Well, I'd make damn sure you are 100% on these sorts of issues before trying to sell - advertising is one thing but legal compliance in those areas are a lot more important.

As for FB, they have nothing against teeth whitening, it's just the rebill methods attached to most of those offers leave a bit of a stigma.

I would create a business account and run this sort of thing with some direct line of communication with FB - that way you can get clear info on ad/lander compliance and run it without issues of account longevity.

zeno mate i'm not an idiot there is only one law here in the UK in regards to peroxide based teeth whitening products and that is a new one. Alot of people here don't know it but only a dentist can administer or sell to patient anything up to 6% peroxide. There's not much of a penalty (small fine) but just saying it's a new law brought in because of dentists moaning.

Anyway's thanks for caring and appreciate the response

p.s I already sell the product elsewhere but I just wanted to ask about fb and their compliance balls that's all

I'm not surprised they've bought in laws about peroxide content - I remember getting kits and some are pretty potent, read stories about people damaging their gums > dentists horrified etc. Good luck with the product!

Yeah correct. not sure what it's like where you are but we have 100's of startups mainly women starting up mobile teeth whitening and administering it without no training and what not. The penalties are not that harsh but still, who needs trouble. Cheers mate
