Hey guys I'm a bit lost with this one.
On a dating offer I want to promote with an affiliate network there is an option to preview the landing page, which works totally fine for me. However when I test the affiliate link provided I am redirected through to random prize and software offer pages.
The offer is US based leads only and I am in the UK so I understand that I am georedirected when I use the affiliate link. When I uploaded a load of creative to POF however they were rejected for the offer redirecting to other offers or not loading properly. Given that POF is US based I don't know why that would happen. I asked my U.S based affiliate manager to test the tracking affiliate link I'd given one of the creatives and he claimed it loaded the offer perfectly fine. I've tried testing the affiliate link myself with various proxies and it either doesn't work or still redirects so I can't really tell where the problem is.
Any help or ideas would be really appreciated!
It's entirely up to you to ensure geo-redirection does not interfere with your campaigns.
You should be using geo-redirection yourself to prevent issues.
See my post here on geo-redirection in the context of FB - the same ideals hold for all traffic sources - http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...king-Campaigns
The 2nd post is where I detail how to prevent this being an issue depending on the tracking system that you use.
