Guys can you give me some suggestions on how to get more CTR on my lander for popunders?
So far i have tried, javascript alers, auto sound, exit pops. Most of the time these work if i can get them approved.I am getting around 1% LP ctr, but i need more. And on some sources its even lower like 0.4% CTR and i also found out they are poping 2-3 different popunders at once for the users so its harder to stand out.
I am thinking about trying some very aggressive audio, or lander that will get the users just to click and then send them to my true lander that sells the offer better.I am thinking about using the pop under as banner not sure how that will go though.
So please if you have any weird tips for higher CTR on popunders/popups let me know.
Is this straight popunder traffic or popunders that you have coming from landing pages from other campaigns?
Hi Zeno, its straight popunder traffic that i am buying
Have you tried video? Autoplaying video can be pretty good for capturing the eye.
Also, all of the usual tips for grabbing attention work. Try to feature something disgusting, spectacularly weird, or otherwise not what they were expecting. Photoshop is your friend there!
Not always the auto sound will improve your ctr/cvr.
People can be bothered by it and it is possible to close your pop faster.
Do a split test.
Css3 animations? Google css3 animator and you can make your landing page images swing in, throb, wiggle alsorts of crazy ass magical extravagant funky alarming groovy stuff.
Maybe google falling snow javascript and replace the snow image with a smiley face or something? Google for a javascript snippet which fades the background color to various colors.
Or a heading which says "DONT CLOSE THIS WINDOW" - worked for me when my antivirus popped up an "upgrade now yada yada" type message.
most people just a javascript pop that redirects after.
if you can do a javascript entry pop, that'll raise CTR for sure. Also, it sounds like you have a lot going on on the landing page, you might try removing things one by one and see if things improve. sometimes i find that having less stuff going on on the page works better.
Things you can try:
- sound vs. no sound
- blinking CTA buttons vs. non-blinking
- countdown timers
- geo location scripts (Special message for [theircity] visitors)
- Put the name of the site you're targeting on the landing page (special message for [targetsite] visitors in [theircity])
- date "Offer valid today, [insertdate] only
- background colors
- blinking borders
- blinking HTML Titles (works well, because the browser page starts blinking)
- trust/security logos
- social proof (likes button)
I like the blinking title @profitable - nice idea
