Follow Along - Iphone App Install [US]

Hi everyone,

I created a Follow Along yesterday which was very very short. My offer was a Real Estate Iphone App but obviously it was not a good offer. Big Thank you To Mr Green for his help.
You can read the thread here

My AM (Adsimilis) read the Follow Along and send me a message on Skype with another offer. 2 things made me thinking : the payout which is low ($0.8) and the country : US. But let's give it a try

Offer : Iphone App Install
Payout : $0.8
Traffic : decisive.is
Country : US
Budget : $40 per day and per campaign
bid type → CPM ($0.6)
sizes → 320x50
Tracking : Voluum
Timezone : W. Europe Standard Time

I'm running 2 campaigns Wifi+App :
1- Direct linking
2- with 4 LP

I have uploaded 20 banners for each campaign

First data

Direct Linking
Bids: 96,218
Wins: 39,397 (41%)
Clicks: 156 (0.4%)
Conversions: 15
CPC: $0.15

Using LP
Bids: 93,693
Wins: 51,111 (55%)
Clicks: 211 (0.41%)
Conversions: 15
CPC: $0.19

The direct linking seems to be better so I assume my LP don't convert very well. I've cut 2 of them and now running 6 banners. So I continue with the best LP or test new Lander until I reach a decent conversion rate ?

10% click to conversion aint a bad start.

Having a similar CVR with landers in the mix suggests that your landers aren't performing that well - i.e. the loss in clicks to the offer isn't being countered by the increased conversion rate. Split test more landers. Convert those users.

Looks good! The US can be a bit tough, but on the other hand you're already getting decent conversions, so that's very good.

Why did you choose Wifi+App specifically? I'd usually recommend an initial split-test across wifi, carrier, app and site.

Since it is an app install offer I didn't test 3G. I've tested Wifi+Site but the number of clicks was very very low.

Day2

Still running 2 campaigns : direct linking and Wifi+App using landing. I was running 3 differents landers on day1 (Lp1,2,30. I now kept the best one (LP2) and added 2 new landers anmed LP4 and 5.
Here are the results :

Direct linking still converts and is profitable.

Direct Linking
Bids: 132,975
Wins: 30,693 (23%)
Clicks: 119 (0.39%)
Conversions: 25
CPC: $0.15
I'm profitable !!! Spent $17,90 and made $20

Using LP
Bids: 84,746
Wins: 31,647 (37%)
Clicks: 146 (0.46%)
Conversions: 20
CPC: $0.19

LP2 is still the best.

Will test 2-3 more landers and will see.

If you direct link your goal is to SELL the offer in your banner. This of it as the banner is step 1, and the offer is step 2.
Prep them for the conversion IN the banner.

If you're using a landing page make it simple, you NEED high CTR on the page that gets them quickly to the offer since it's such a low payout.

There's no right or wrong, test both. For me landing pages usually help, it comes down to creativity, and testing lots of ideas.
