* About to launch My 1st Teespring + FB.... A Few Questions: *
Hey Guys & Gals -
I'm about to launch my 1st TeeSpring Ad on FB and I have a few questions:
1. I've only created one design here: http://teespring.com/ny-duck - do you recommend creating more and how do I test?
2. Should I be using the Power Editor or just start with the Ads
3. Should I be installing a tracking pixel... and if so - how?
4. Any other recommendations if I've missed anything.
Thanks so much guys... I know these are total NOOB questions, but we've all gotta start somewhere!

No problem with noob questions at all - you've got to ask to learn!
Have you seen Zeno's guide to starting advertising with Facebook? I think it'll help clear a lot of things up for you.
http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...el-Guide-to-FB
Feel free to ask any questions that persist after having a look at that!

1. You could create variations and split test between them, to do this you want a tracker in the middle that can rotate offers.
2. Yes, use the power editor.
3. Yes. Create a conversion pixel in Facebook - can get to this from either the power editor or normal interface under conversion tracking. Copy the value of fb_param.pixel_id in the code given (a string of numbers). In Teespring go to campaigns > see more > Facebook tracking > paste in this value. Teespring allows you to add the FB tracking pixel.
4. Pass querystrings (Custom URL parameters) for your ads e.g. c1=something&c2=something else - track these with the tracking system, but also pass them through to your Teespring link. Then you can look at Teespring performance at
http://analytics.teespring.com/ and can see these values.

Hey Zeno - on the advice above, I've begun to put your guide into a PDF for myself, but I'd be happy to give it to you or share with the other STMers.
Thanks for all your help & let me know!

It started out in Word/PDF form and I had to tailor it to the forum (wrote the whole thing in Word first). You're free to make a PDF for your own use but please don't share it outside of the forum. Not that it matters much... the swine at e.g. BHW and BBHF have undoubtedly ripped off forum content in their VIP sections for a long time.

Hey Industry, how did the campaign go? I'm about to launch my first ever campaign on TeeSpring + Facebook combo. Finalising up on my homework just to make sure i got everything in check. How did your campaign go?

Hi guys, regarding FB adverts for Tee Spring, is it better to "Bid for Website conversions", or "Bid for Clicks"?
How does FB know the website conversion data? The website conversion cost was 30USD, which was insanely high(?).
I settled for bid for clicks, even though on the first page of the "create" advert, i initially selected "Bid for Website Conversions"
Sorry for this question. I read the FB newbie guide but couldn't find information on this.
Thanks in advance guys

For Teespring use 'Bid for clicks' and also create a 'Checkout' pixel under Conversion Tracking and add that to your campaign.

@andymin thanks ! Yes I added the tracking pixel by entering the numbers provided in the tracking URL. My ad was approved in less than 5 min on fb, makes me wonder if I did something wrong or it's not complex enough!

The campaign-level objective - clicks to website, or website conversions, is different to the oCPM bidding setup.
I'm not entirely sure how the clicks to website and conversion objective effect things - they likely influence the initial audience that ads are delivered to (split test!) but the specifics of the oCPM system are nebulous - Facebook simply doesn't reveal much.
As for the bidding mode, I would probably bid for actions rather than clicks but again, it's something to split test.
My ninja spy contacts tell me FB has just rolled out changes to oCPM so that the bidding style changes (I can't remember the specifics)... so you may see some updates soon.
